Hit And Run Driver Arrested In Death Of Young Woman
Tampa Bicyclist Killed In Traffic
A 57-year-old Tampa man died after being involved in a traffic accident. The accident took place early Sunday morning at the intersection of E. Columbus Drive and N. 26th Street.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the man was riding a bicycle shortly after 4:30 a.m. He was riding northbound and crossed into the intersection when the bi- cycle was struck by a Toyota traveling eastbound on Columbus Drive. The driver remained at the scene of the accident until police arrived.
The bicyclist and the driver of the Toyota were trans- ported to local hospitals as a result of injuries received in the accident.
The bicyclist later died. Po- lice have not identified the driver of the Toyota or the bi- cyclist.
However, the victim has been identified as Reginald Knight, of Tampa, by his sis- ter, Ms. Wanda Tillman, on social media.

After the accident, the driver fled the scene in the stolen white Infiniti sedan and then abandoned it a few blocks away.
Investigators believe that Ms. Robinson was driving an older m0del Lincoln when the vehicle became disabled.
It is believed that after Ms. Robinson exited the vehicle, she was struck by the Infiniti sedan traveling at a high rate of speed. Ms. Robinson died at the scene.
The vehicle had been re- ported stolen out of Hillsbor- ough County.

The victim has been iden- tified by a family member as David Noah Wethering- ton, Jr., of Lutz. Funeral services for Mr. Wether- ington were incomplete at press time. Ray Williams Fu- neral Home is in charge of handling arrangements.

Fentanyl Dealer Pleads Guilty

Police have arrested a 21- year-old man in connection with a deadly hit and run ac- cident. The accident took place earlier this month.
Tavirus Walters, of St. Petersburg, was arrested last Friday. He has been charged with third-degree murder, leaving the scene of an acci- dent involving death, carry- ing a concealed weapon. There were also other war- rants active for his arrest, po- lice said.
Last Monday, a 17-year- old Tampa teenager died as a result of gunshot injuries. The shooting took place in the 10000 block of N. Pawnee Avenue. When officers ar- rived at the scene, they dis- covered the teenager laying in a yard. He later died.
Now, police are asking the public to help with locating a vehicle. The vehicle is de- scribed as a newer light-col- ored sedan, possibly a newer model Ford Focus.
The vehicle was observed in the area around the same time the teenager was shot and killed.

A Florida Highway Patrol officer was arrested early Sat- urday and charged with hav- ing sex with a minor. He was arrested by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
According to police, Riley Schwarz was charged with two counts of lewd and lasciv- ious battery involving sexual activity on a victim between the ages of 12 and 15 years of age.

Bryant admitted to hav- ing obtained more than a kilo- gram and a half of fentanyl from various sources during a six-month period.

Detectives with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice are searching for three robbery suspects. The inci- dent took place on July 25th.
According to police, around 5:30 a.m., the men en- tered the Mobile Gas Station, 10o920 Highway 41 South, in Gibsonton. All three wore masks or bandanas over their faces. They also wore hoodies and gloves, police said.
The three men went be- hind the counter and at- tempted to open the register and removed cigarettes.

Last week, a 25-year-old man pleaded guilty to conspir- ing to distribute illegal drugs. He is facing a mandatory prison sentence.
According to the plea agreement, Willie Bryant, 25, of Parrish, conspired to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl from September 2018 until February 27, 2019.
In early 2019, Bryant sold fentanyl in increasing amounts to undercover detec- tives on several occasions. On February 27, 2019, Bryant again met with the undercover detective to sell an ounce of fentanyl. When he arrived at
