Man Charged In Death Of 14-Year-Old
  Woman Taken
  Into Custody In
Fatal Apartment
A 29-year-old man is fac- ing several charges in con- nection with the death of a 14-year-old. The child died after being struck by a vehi- cle on February 7, 2021.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, an argument between two people took place at The Place at Carrollwood Apart- ment Complex.
Deputies said a physical confrontation took place shortly before the teenager was struck by a car and fa- tally injured, around 9:30 p.m.
Detectives learned that prior to the child being struck by the vehicle, the fe- male driver was believed to have been involved in the previous argument. At some point, shots were fired to-
deadly accident and the shooting continued. On Monday, detectives arrested Jose Ortiz at his residence.
Ortiz was identified as the person responsible for shooting the victim, who was operating a silver Lexus IS250 and crashed into the 14-year-old.
Ortiz is charged with the following: attempted murder in the first-degree premedi- tated firearm - great bodily harm; aggravated battery great bodily harm or deadly weapon firearm, great bodily harm/death; murder in the first-degree while engaged in the murder of another human being; third-degree murder, shooting at within or into a vehicle, and felon in possession of a firearm and violation of probation.
 Shooting
A 29-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting. The shooting took place in an apartment com- plex last week.
Ms. Bianca Marchand
was arrested in Bay County (in the Panhandle) last Fri- day. An arrest warrant had been issued for her arrest after a review of a fatal shooting by the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Of- fice.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, deputies responded to a call of shots being fired on the morning of Friday, March 26th.
Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 11:30 a.m. When they ar- rived at a home on the 1800 block of Princeton Lakes Drive, inside the Park at Portofino Apartments, they found an adult man was de-

ceased inside the residence. Detectives interviewed the person identified as the shooter, who remained at the scene. However, no arrest was made at the time, pend- ing review by the State Attor-
ney’s Office.
Ms. Marchand, later
identified as the shooter, was charged with second-de- gree murder. The identity of the victim has not been re- leased.

  Police Arrest Teenager For Second-Degree Murder
The St. Petersburg Police Department has arrested a Seminole man and charged him with murder. He is charged with the fatal shoot- ing of 19-year-old Dquaz Davis.
According to police, the investigation began last Tues- day afternoon. Just before 4 p.m., officers responded to 1227 Fargo Street, South, in reference to a shooting. When they arrived at the home located at 1227 Fargo St., South, they found Davis. Davis was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
