The Alpha Sigma Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. will host its Business Month Celebration on Saturday, April 30, 2016, 2-4 p. m. at Knoll- wood Manor Community Room.

Scholarship Program
First Baptist Church of Progress Village Scholarship Committee is hosting a golf tournament that will benefit its scholarship program. The “Swing For Education Eddie Cook Memorial Golf Tourna- ment” will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016. The shotgun start is at 8 a. m., with regis- tration starting at 7 a. m.
The 5th annual tournament is being held at River Hills Country Club, 3943 New River Hills Parkway, Valrico, FL (33596).
According to Aaron Lewis, Tournament Coordinator, Eddie Cook was a scholar and pioneer in the Progress Village community. While in Nigeria, West Africa fulfilling his desire to serve, Cook gave his life while providing medical and optical care, building clin- ics, paving roads to health fa-
cilities, drilling water wells and mentoring young children.
Over the years, First Baptist Church of Progress Village, Dr. Samuel Maxwell, servant/teacher, has provided continued support for over 190 students to pursue a college degree.
Current scholarship recipi- ents are: Krystal Bobo, Aleshia Campbell, Ciara Carr, Kala Carter, Maia Carter, Annie Connally, Mariah Davis, Jeremy Frederique, Serena Grant, Juwaun Livingston, Jor- dan Pate, Alandra Sheffield, Tyra Smart, Ay- isha Smith, Tajah Sneed, TaShonda Stennis and Nuri Troy.

Hillsborough County Offices, Facilities Open On Good Friday
Hillsborough County offices and facilities will remain open for business as usual on Good Friday, March 25. On Easter Sunday, March 27, all public li- braries and skate parks will be closed.
Children’s Services Community Fair
UACDC Prodigy Free Showcases
The University Area Com- munity and Development Cor- poration will present FREE showcases by Prodigy through- out the month of April, in cele- bration of Prodigy’s 15th anniversary.
Youths ages 7 to 17 from the University Area CDC’s Prodigy Cultural Arts Programs in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Osceola and Orange Counties will perform dance
pieces in these free events. Locally, in Hillsborough County, the free events will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016, 2 p. m. at FICS Town ‘n’ Country Commons, 7606 Paula Dr., Tampa (33615); April 16, 2 p. m., at Southshore Regional Li- brary, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin (33573); and April 28th, 5:45 p. m., Brandon Boys and Girls Club, 213 N. Knights

On Saturday, March 26th, the public is invited to this year’s annual Children’s Services Community Fair.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the public is invited to join Chil- dren’s Services staff members at their Lake Magdalene Cam- pus, 3191 Clay Mangum Lane.
There is free admission, and everyone will enjoy food, music, games, a bounce house, and support services agencies.
