Nick Cannon Reacts To Orlando Brown's Sexual Encounter Claim
‘Bad Boys for Life’ Leads Box Office Again With $33 Million Weekend
Sony’s “Bad Boys for Life” will take the No. 1 spot at the box office for a second week- end, earning an estimated $33.6 million to bring its total to $120 million after 10 days.
The Will Smith/Martin Lawrence threequel is doing what movie theater execs hoped: help support the box office through a late January period that histori- cally has been a slow period. It is getting help from Uni- versal’s “1917,” which will be- come the fourth Best Picture

nominee in the 2020 Oscar with $15.8 million in its third race to cross $100 million wide weekend.
Nick Cannon has broken his silence about a viral selfie video that shows Orlando Brown talking about an al- leged sexual encounter.
The clip was posted on the Shade Room early on Wednes- day. In the clip, the That's So Raven alum maintains a smile as he walks through a large store and claims repeatedly that he "let" "Nick" perform oral sex on him. He also says, "And I liked it. It was OK," and adds, "But everybody knows you did it as a female." While Brown, 32, does not mention Cannon's last name, it is noted in the caption and he also says towards the end of the video, "You don't want me on Wild 'N Out."
Hours after the footage made headlines, Cannon, who hosts MTV's Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out, posted on Instagram a screenshot of an article about the video, which does name him, and is- sued a lengthy statement.
"When I first saw this I thought it was f--king hilari- ous!!!!" the 39-year-old wrote. "But then after putting a little cognitive effort and analytical thought to the situation, I fig-

ured what a great opportunity for a 'teachable moment'! First off let me say I am praying for the young brother Orlando even though I don't really know him personally, I have always loved and enjoyed his talent and have been a fan of his past work. He was f--king brilliant in Major Payne, and had us all laughing on That's So Raven."
"But this is another crucial example of when we allow our young artists to be prema- turely exposed by this demonic business and left out to fend for themselves," Cannon con- tinued. "We need better sup- port systems for our youth and take care of our own. I watched various of this young brothers videos and all I see is a cry out for help.
Kodak Black To Be Released From Kentucky Prison In 2022
Kodak Black has been handed a prison release date. According to a report from TMZ filed on Thursday, Kodak—who’s currently serving a gun possession sen- tence—will be released “on or about” Aug. 14, 2022. His re- lease could come a few days prior to that date due to fed- eral policy allowing early re- lease when a determined date hits on a weekend.
For now, per the report, Kodak is being taken from Miami to a federal facility in Oklahoma City before mak-

ing one last transfer to Ken- tucky.
Earlier this month, a statement shared to Kodak's official IG alleged that "a big conspiracy" was afoot at the Miami facility where he was previously held. "They are strategically killing me slowly in here," Kodak said. "I have been humiliated over and over again. I am highly disap- pointed in the way they have treated not only me, but all the other inmates in this fa- cility."
Rapper YG Arrested Just Days Before His Grammy Awards Performance
Rapper YG has been charged with robbery just days before his performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
Early Friday morning at around 4 a.m., YG, 29, was served a search warrant “in the furtherance of an on- going criminal investigation” at his home in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, Deputy James Nagao said in a statement obtained by reporters.
YG, Keenon Jackson,
was then taken into custody and transported to Men’s Central Jail where he was

booked on the robbery charge, Nagao said.
At this time, YG remains in police custody on a
$250,000 bail.
In a statement obtained by
reporters, YG’s attorney Joe Tacopina said the arrest completely caught the rapper “off guard because there is no truth to them.”
“Rest assured, my client will be cleared of all charges, if they even survive past the arraignment,” Tacopina continued, adding that YG was arrested on suspicion of robbery based on an ongoing investigation.
“This has become even more outrageous... normally, in the American justice sys- tem, you get arrested after an investigation is completed.”
