Dwight Howard First Player To Tally At Least 30 Points, 30 Rebounds Since 2010
DWIGHT HOWARD
Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard did some- thing Wednesday night seen only one other time in the past 36 years.
With a rebound in the final seconds of a 111-105 victory at the Brooklyn Nets, Howard finished with 32 points and 30 boards to become the first player since 2010 -- and just the second since the 1981-82 season -- to have a 30-30 game.
The previous player to do it was Kevin Love in 2010, while he was with the Min- nesota Timberwolves. He had 31 points and 31 rebounds in a win against the New York Knicks.
Love took to Twitter to congratulate Howard and welcome him to the club.
Kyrie Irving To Seek Second Opinion For Knee Issues
KYRIE IRVING
Kyrie Irving will seek a second opinion on his prob- lematic knee, according to mul- tiple reports.
Irving is reportedly getting a second opinion on his left knee because it has been flaring up.
Irving has missed Boston’s last three games because of his left knee. He has missed four games total this month, but the good news is an MRI came back clean this month, and he reportedly just has tendonitis.
Celtics GM Danny Ainge has said that the left knee issue is just something Irving will have to manage the rest of his career.

The Kentucky Wildcats’ path to the Sweet 16 has re- ceived a bit of criticism.
To reach this point, John Calipari’s squad has gone through 12th-seeded Davidson and 13th-seeded Buffalo, which upset Arizona in the opening round. Furthermore, courtesy of University of Maryland, Baltimore County becoming the first 16-seed to beat a No. 1 seed with a 74-54 victory over Virginia, ninth- seeded Kansas State advanced to the Sweet 16, making for a matchup of Wildcats.
Bearing in mind that Ken- tucky could potentially make the Elite Eight by notching wins over a 12-seed, 13-seed and a nine-seed, the criticism of Kentucky’s NCAA Tourna- ment path wouldn’t end any- time soon with a win on Thursday against Kansas State. For reasons just like that, former Tampa Catholic High School standout, Kevin Knox wants K-State power forward Dean Wade, who has missed the past three games with a stress fracture in one of his feet, to be healthy and ready to go so “[Kansas State] don’t have an excuse, per a report from KMAN Sports Director John Kurtz.
It’s possible that Knox gets what he asked for.
Wade said after a Wednesday practice that he

“feels great,” per a report from SEC Country’s Joe Mus- satto.
“I don’t play percentages very well, but I’m feeling good,” Wade said. “I’m very positive about it. It’s getting better every day and today I felt great out there, doing a lit- tle more than usual. It felt good.”
Knox and Wade each serve as the leading scorer for their teams, averaging 15.6 points per game and 16.5 points per game, respectively.
Without Wade, Kansas State is obviously a different team, especially offensively, but nevertheless, the Wildcats have notched a pair of NCAA Tournament wins by a com- bined 17 points in Wade’s ab- sence.
With Kentucky awaiting, a healthy Wade would be best, and that’s what Knox and the Wildcats want.
Kentucky and Kansas State will square off at 9:47 p.m. ET on Thursday.
Tyronn Lue announced on Monday that he is taking a leave of absence from the Cleveland Cavaliers to focus on his health, but the coach is reportedly hoping to be back on the bench in time for the postseason.
A source stated that the plan as of now is for Lue to return to the Cavs “well be- fore the start of the playoffs.” The team is hoping he will be out days rather than weeks, with the postseason set to start in less than a month.

Trae Young Says He Will Enter NBA Draft
ATLANTA - The Atlanta Braves and Ebenezer Baptist Church are partnering to host a citywide prayer break- fast for boys, young men and fathers in the metro area.
The men’s breakfast, “Conversations: Beyond the Game” will honor Baseball Hall of Famer Hank Aaron and future Hall Of Famer and former Atlanta Braves player Gary Sheffield.
This discussion will cen- ter on issues such as family, fatherhood and encouraging young men to play a role in the community.
The event will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by the dialogue with Aaron and Sheffield.
“It’s a pleasure for us to partner with the Braves as we bring together legends like Hank Aaron, Gary Sheffield, and ordinary men and boys in our commu-
GARY SHEFFIELD nity,” says the Rev.
Raphael G. Warnock, sen- ior pastor of Ebenezer. “We will host hundreds of boys and men from across the city to encourage and inspire one another and more impor- tantly, to build upon what Dr. Martin Luther King called the “Beloved Commu- nity.”
Sheffield played for the Braves for two seasons dur- ing his career, which spanned more than two decades. He retired after the 2009 season.
Trae Young’s incredible freshman season at Okla- homa will be his only season with the Sooners.
Young revealed on Tues- day that he has decided to enter the NBA Draft. The 19- year-old reflected on his life and basketball career.
“I’ve been preparing most of my life to join the NBA, and that time has come for me now,” Young said. “After an unforgettable year at the University of Oklahoma, I will enter the June NBA draft and fully immerse myself in the pursuit of a pro basket- ball career.
“... I don’t pretend to be ready to play in the NBA today, but I am determined to do what I’ve always done: invest in the work to prepare for the league and the incred- ible challenges it presents.
TRAE YOUNG
I’m going to start training immediately for the draft, building up strength throughout my body, sharp- ening my skills and studying the best of the best.”
Young averaged 27.4 points and 8.8 assists per game this season, and he is expected to be a lottery pick. Oklahoma lost to Rhode Is- land in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
