Police have arrested a 22- year-old man in connection with a shooting that took place during the holidays. The shooting took place in Ybor City near the intersection of 7th Avenue and E. 20th Street.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers were dispatched to the loca- tion in reference to a shooting involving several victims. When they arrived, they dis- covered four men had been struck by gunfire.
Tampa Fire Rescue re- sponded and administered first aid before transporting all of the victims to local hospi- tals. Two of the men, ages 29 and 43, died as a result of their injuries. The two other men, ages 32 and 33, respectively, were admitted to the hospital in serious, but stable condi- tion. No updates on their con- ditions were available at press time.
One of the victims who died as a result of his injuries has been identified by sources as 43-year-old Chudney Jackson.

Detectives assigned to the case learned during their in- vestigation that the victims were standing at the location when an unidentified Black man approached and inten- tionally fired several shots to- ward the unsuspecting victims.
As the investigation con- tinuing, detectives identified Livonte Howard as a sus- pect. On the afternoon of Jan- uary 4th, police located Howard at a home in Riverview. Officers sur- rounded the home and gave Howard several commands

to come out with his hands up. Howard eventually came out of the home and was taken into custody without incident.
He was taken into custody and has been charged with first-degree murder, at- tempted first-degree murder, and aggravated battery. He is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail.

Man Crashes After Vehicle Struck By Gunfire
Tampa Police are investi- gating a shooting that left a man injured. The shooting took place last Monday afternoon on Columbus Drive.
According to police, the unidentified man told police he was driving on Columbus Dr. when his vehicle was struck by gunfire. After being hit, the vic- tim veered into oncoming traf- fic. His vehicle struck another vehicle. The two people in the vehicle were not injured.
Police said after the crash, the gunshot victim fled the scene. He was later located at an area hospital. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
No suspects have been ar- rested in the shooting and the investigation is continuing.

In an article about a shooting that took place last week, the Sentinel incor- rectly identified Keith Scott as one of the victims. How- ever, we have since learned that Mr. Scott died in a shooting that took place on Monday, December 21, 2020, at the intersection of N. 18th Street and E. 19th Av- enue.

Woman Charged With DUI Manslaughter
Man Faces DUI Charge In Hit And
A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal acci- dent. The accident took place in Pinellas County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place on December 24th, at the intersection of Belleair Road and South Lake Avenue, around 8 p.m.
Ms. Shaquira Agosto, of Temple Terrace, was driving a vehicle westbound on Belleair Road. For unknown reasons, Ms. Agosto lost control of the vehicle and entered the east- bound lane, colliding, nearly head-on with a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old man.

pital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
As a result of the investiga- tion, Ms. Agosto was ar- rested and charged with DUI manslaughter, vehicular homi- cide, and driving while licenses suspended or revoked. She was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
Run Accident
The Clearwater Police De- partment has arrested a 36- year-old man and charged him in connection with a fatal acci- dent. The accident took place on January 1, 2021.
According to police, the ac- cident took place at Eldridge Street and Pennsylvania Av- enue, shortly after 3:30 p.m. An unidentified man was driv- ing a three-wheel motorcycle, was involved in an accident with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.
The unidentified driver of the motorcycle was airlifted by Bayflite to Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, with possible life-threatening injuries.
Police continued their in- vestigation and located the other vehicle involved in the accident and the driver. Dar- rell D. Thomas, of Clearwa-

ter, was located in the 1100 block of Drew Street and ques- tioned by police. Thomas was arrested and charged with DUI with injuries. He was trans- ported to the Pinellas County Jail.
Police said the victim is ex- pected to recover from his in- juries. The investigation is continuing.
