   Police Recover Body Of Missing Boater
 Last Thursday, the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice recovered the body of a Tampa man who had been re- ported missing by his family. Police said there was no indi- cation of any foul play linked to the death.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office began search- ing for 54-year-old Eugene Wilson, Jr., near the By- pass Canal Saturday. A family member had dropped him off at the dock on the Bypass Canal around 8 p. m., Satur- day. However, they were un- able to contact him for several hours and reported him missing around 4 a. m., Sunday, December 27, 2020.

vated. Upon arriving in the area, deputies located a cap- sized jon boat in the canal and located fishing gear nearby.
Wilson’s body was lo- cated on December 31, 2020.

 The Signature 2-Day Music Fest is set for Satur- day and Sunday, April 3-4, 2021 as part of the Easter Weekend Holiday Celebra- tion;10-Day Celebration will be held in January.
After careful considera- tion, planners of The 21st Annual Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival 2- Day Music Fest announced that the event has been post- poned due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The signature 2- Day Music Fest is set to take place Easter Weekend, Sat- urday and Sunday, April 3- 4, 2021, at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park (600 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa, FL 33602) with gates opening at 12 p. m.

“We’ll have great weather in April,” says TBBHF Co-Chair, Ruby Jackson. “But our primary concern is for the safety of our patrons and we are happy to accommodate where necessary,” she con- tinued.
Although the TBBHF Music Fest has been post- poned to April, the anticipa- tion is energized as the Festival pivots and adjusts
to an all-new virtual plat- form for the 10-Day celebra- tion in January as well as surrounding Super Bowl LV activities leading into February.
Signature events such as the Run For Us 5K, a 30- Day Virtual run for health and wellness (Jan. 9-Feb. 7); College & Career Conver- sations, a virtual roundtable of topics associated with col- lege readiness (Jan. 9); Leadership Luncheon, featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Glorida Brown Marshall as she discusses race, law, and American Society (Jan. 13); and the Technology Vil- lage “Beyond Meta,” an Esports, Gaming & Tech Expo to promote Economic Empowerment (Feb. 5-6) remain scheduled as part of the TBBHF 21st Annual 10- day Celebration.
