Church’s Resource Center To Sponsor ‘Night Of Jazz’
Middleton Alums To Meet At School Sept. 8
The Middleton High School Alumni Association will resume its monthly meetings Saturday, Sep- tember 8, at the school, 4801 N. 22nd Street, in the Cafeteria. Alumni should enter on 22nd Street at Wilder Ave. to park.
The 2019 Miss Middle- ton, Kings and Queens Scholarship Ball Planning Committee meeting begins at 9:30 a. m., followed by the regular monthly meet- ing at 11 a. m.
The alumni association will honor all former Mid- dleton High School stu- dents who held those positions from 1935-2018 at the formal ball, sched- uled for Saturday, April 27, 2019.
More information about the activity and the infor- mal reception Friday, April 26, 2019, will be announced soon.

“We are excited about our 3rd Annual Evening of Jazz on September 8th from 6-9 p. m., with a great performance by our local artists Lisa Mc- Clendon, Danny Vickers, Dell Barnes, David Wat- son and our Emcee, Shawney Timm, states Renae Kendrick, Director of The Family Support and Resource Center. “Guests will be served with a delicious Louisiana Style menu and door prizes for our guests.
“Lastly, on this night we will recognize a special per- son in the community as he has served to see so many others to self-sufficiency over the years. We are so honored to announce our Unity Recognition Award recipient goes to "Chris Ward," an employee with Tampa Hous- ing Authority,” she said.
Tickets are $30.00 and all funds go back into the com- munity to assist in crisis needs, says Ms. Kendrick.
