Mrs. Daisy Thomas Bethel Celebrates 90th Birthday With Family And Friends
Born in 1928, Mrs. Daisy Thomas Bethel was recently heralded and celebrated on Saturday, August 18, 2018, in Plant City, Florida, as she cel- ebrated her 90th birthday. Family members, from as far as Hawaii, New York, New Jersey, Pennsyl- vania, and Maryland, all came to say happy birth- day to the matriarch of the Thomas family.
Long retired from Kraft Food, Ms. Daisy spends her time visiting the sick and shut-in, singing in the Angelic choir at her home church, Mt. Olive Baptist church in Plant City, and putter- ing around the house.
Because of her longevity in age, she knows the family and community history, as she can recall who married who, who is related to whom and so forth. When asked ‘what’s the secret to her longevity,’ she answered strongly and firmly and without hesitation, and gave a one-word answer, and the answer was Jesus. Indeed, her faith in Jesus has kept her these many years, and the fam- ily thanks God for her. (Photos by Frederick Harris)
