Cowboys' Playoff Chances Still Alive, Thanks To Their Offense And Washington
ANDY DALTON
Just as everybody thought when the 2020 NFL season started: the Dallas Cowboys will have a chance to win the NFC East.
But no one could have fore- seen just how they would get to Week 17 with a chance to make the playoffs.
The Cowboys did so Sun- day by beating the Philadel- phia Eagles 37-17 with an offensive display reminiscent of the first few weeks of the season before quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a sea- son-ending right ankle injury.
As for winning the division, the Cowboys (6-9) still need help and it needs to come from the team they just beat. In Week 17, Philadelphia needs to beat the Washington Football Team and the Cowboys need to beat the New York Giants.
Quarterback Andy Dal- ton threw for 377 yards and had touchdown passes of 21 and 7 yards to Michael Gallup and 52 yards to CeeDee Lamb as the Cow- boys took advantage of a poor Eagles secondary and a pass rush that was missing defen- sive tackle Fletcher Cox for most of the game.

Haskins’ Release
Rolling Left Ankle
The Washington Football Team parted ways with Dwayne Haskins on Mon- day after he was once again benched the day before. Some believe they should have moved on from him sooner, and a report this week claimed head coach Ron Rivera wanted to but senior vice president of player development Doug Williams talked him out of it.
Williams says that never happened.
Rivera reportedly nearly cut Haskins early last week but Williams and a few oth- ers in the organization con- vinced him not to. Williams told Sports Illustrated that any talk of him slowing the decision to waive Haskins is “news to me.”
Russell said multiple sources told him Rivera made both the decision to give Haskins another shot last week and then the deci- sion to cut him on Monday. Williams said he had noth-

ing to do with Haskins re- maining on the roster after the former Ohio State star was disciplined for attending a party maskless.
Williams had tried to counsel Haskins in a variety of ways since Washington drafted the QB with the 15th overall pick in the 2019 draft. Russell reports that Rivera actually asked Williams to speak with Haskins last week to make sure he was in the right frame of mind head- ing into Sunday’s game against the Carolina Pan- thers.
Ja Morant was taken away in a wheelchair after rolling his left ankle during Monday night’s game at the Brooklyn Nets.
Morant jumped to con- test a shot by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot near the free throw line. He landed on Luwawu-Cabar- rot’s foot and rolled his ankle.
Morant was down in pain after the injury and seated in a wheelchair.
The Grizzlies later said that Morant would miss the rest of the game with a sprained ankle.
Morant, who was last season’s NBA Rookie of the

Year, had seven points and three assists prior to suffer- ing the injury. He averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 assists per game last season.
Morant is a franchise cornerstone for the 0-2 Griz- zlies.
Air Jordan 35 Arriving Soon In A ‘Fire Red’ Colorway
Arizona Cardinals QB
Kyler Murray Injures
Leg Late In Loss To San
Francisco 49ers
Arizona Cardinals star quarterback Kyler Murray sustained a leg injury in the final seconds of the Cardi- nals' 20-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.
Murray was hurt on a hit by 49ers defensive lineman Alex Barrett after throwing a pass that fell incomplete to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on fourth-and-6 with 20 seconds left in the game.
With the loss, Arizona's playoff hopes are out of its control. The Cardinals (8-7) need the Chicago Bears to lose Sunday to the Jack- sonville Jaguars or the Bears (7-7) will supplant Arizona as

the seventh and final seed in the NFC playoffs heading into the final weekend of the season. The Cardinals are scheduled to visit the Los An- geles Rams in Week 17 and the Bears to host the Green Bay Packers.
While completely fresh in its design vision, the Air Jor- dan 35 still makes an attempt to touch on nostalgic notes, reaching back thirty years to bridge the gap with the Air Jordan 5.
For the most part, it’s the colorways that have visual- ized that concept, with this upcoming Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” making a clear connec- tion to one of 2020’s most re- curring sneaker releases.
With the enlarged silver reflective tongue and red in- terior lining, this Air Jordan 35 almost perfectly embodies that original colorway. It’s just a flooding of black on the
midsole short from truly channeling that iconic color- way (one that returned to stores on May 2nd). In fact, there’s no black evident on this upcoming release at all, so what exactly is Jordan Brand looking to achieve here? Regardless of its omis- sion, this is one of the cleaner Air Jordan 35 colorways yet.
While a release date has yet to be determined, a Jan- uary drop doesn’t seem out of the question. We’ll update you when we have firm de- tails, so in the meantime, check out the Jordan Release Dates page to see what else is coming in January 2021.
