Computer Outage
Delta Air Lines domestic planes were taking to the skies again early Monday but a nationwide ground stop due to a "systems outage" caused departure delays and at least 150 cancellations overnight, the airline said.
Delta's website and mobile app as well as airport infor- mation screens and comput- ers at the airline's reservation desks were still down as of midnight ET, barring travel- ers from obtaining informa- tion	about	their	flight statuses.
More cancellations were expected because of the out- age, the airline said in a state- ment, especially at Delta hub airports like Atlanta, Mem- phis and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Delta said in the statement that it would not fly unac- companied minors through noon ET on Monday.
Six people have been killed and another 18 wounded after several gunmen opened fire at a mosque in Québec City, in an act condemned as a “terrorist attack” by Canada’s prime minister.
More than 50 people were at the Québec City Islamic cultural center, also known as the Grande Mosquée de Québec, for evening prayers on Sunday when shooting erupted in the two-story building.
Two men have been ar- rested. Initial reports sug- gested a third suspect was still on the run, but police said they were no longer looking for anyone else in
connection with the shoot- ing.
In a news conference on Monday morning, Québec province and city officials de- clined to provide any details about the suspects aside from their ages, which were described as in their 20s or early 30s.
Québec City police inspec- tor Denis Turcotte said that one of the suspects had been arrested on the scene of the attack. The second was captured about an hour later after calling into 911 and identifying himself as in- volved, sharing his location with authorities and letting them know he was armed.

Students Urged To Apply For Fellows Program
Governor Rick Scott is encouraging college and uni- versity students to apply for the 2017-2018 Gubernatorial Fellow Program. Participation in the program provides Florida students with first- hand, high-level experience and insight into how state government operates. Estab- lished in 2004, and endowed by the Hoffman Foundation in 2005, the program gives Florida college and university students the unique opportu- nity to work alongside state government’s top staff for two semesters.
Governor Scott said, “The Gubernatorial Fellows Program provides an invalu- able opportunity for Florida’s college and university stu- dents to receive advanced, on- the-job training. I encourage students interested in public service and leadership to apply to be a part of this amazing program and learn the skills needed for today’s workforce.”
Gubernatorial Fellows are assigned to the Executive Of- fice of the Governor and the Governor’s agencies, based on their major or area of concen- tration. Fellows work a mini- mum of 20 hours per week and are paid for their time on the job. Fellows will also re- ceive tuition waivers from their college or university to
cover the cost of their tuition as they continue their studies throughout the program year.
To be eligible for a Guber- natorial Fellowship, candi- dates should be enrolled at a Florida college or university, as a rising junior or senior, or a graduate student. Appli- cants should exhibit strong leadership, written and oral communication skills, com- munity activism and a desire to serve the people of Florida. Approximately 12 students from around the state will be selected based on a competi- tive application process.
Students	can visit www.FloridaFellows.co m to learn about the expecta- tions and requirements of the program, as well as read testi- monials from alumni. Inter- ested students must apply online, and the site includes complete information about the recruitment process.
Applications must be sub- mitted by Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The Fellowship will follow the university calendar starting in August 2017 and end in May 2018.
The Governor’s screening and selection committee will announce the program partic- ipants in May 2017.
