Submit your entry to any public library from September 1 - 30, 2019.
Bookmark Contest - Students in grades K - 5 are invited to de- sign a bookmark celebrating Hillsborough's Hispanic Heritage.
Poster Contest - Students in grades 6 - 12 are invited to design a poster celebrating Hillsborough's Hispanic Heritage.
Back To Basics: Cooking With Chef Warren

Learn how to make cooking simple, fun and delicious. Cooking shows have been a boon to those who love to cook. However, many people rarely attempt those same dishes at home. Learn the tips, recipes, and what kitchen gear to buy to help you become a celebrity chef in your own kitchen without breaking your budget. This presentation includes a cooking demonstration and tasting.
U. S. Citizenship Classes
Thursday, September 12, 2019 6:30 P. M. - 8:30 P. M.
Town 'N Country - Community Room B
U. S. Citizenship classes are designed to prepare participants for the U. S. Citizenship test and interview. The program consists of 40 hours of education on U. S. History and Government. Basic ESL will be incorporated into the curriculum. Classes will be con- ducted twice a week. Information is cumulative and participants should plan to attend all class sessions. Registration is required. Interested individuals should call the Hispanic Services Council at 813-936-7700 to get further information and register for the class.
This program is presented in partnership with the Hispanic Services Council and funded by the American Dream Literacy Ini- tiative. The American Dream Literacy Initiative, a grant offering of the American Library Association, is made possible by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
