‘BLACK LIVES MATTER’ PEACEFUL PROTEST DRAWS LARGE CROWD
Recently, several members of the Tampa community joined members of “Black Lives Matter” at the Centennial Park in Ybor City. The event drew people from all walks of life and many parents brought their children to participate in the event. Some members of the Tampa Police Department rode bicycles while others, such as Lieutenant Rodriguez, walked side-by- side with the marchers. Ms. Donna Davis, one of the organizers of the “Black Lives Matter” organization stated that despite inclement weather, more than 300 people attended the event.
