EAGLE DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS OF JAMAICA
The Eagle Drum and Bugle Corps of Jamaica will return to Tampa for the 15th year as partici- pants in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade on Monday, January 16, 2017.
Clarence Fort has spearheaded the project to bring the band to the United States under Sav-
ing Our Children, a min- istry of New Mt. Zion M. B. Church, Rev. Larry L. Roundtree, II, pastor. The band arrives on Thursday.
Last year, the children from Jamaica and those who participate in Saving Our Children were in- volved in an interesting
debate during the Saving Our Children program, which meets each Satur- day at 9:30 a. m. (until 12 noon).
This year’s parade with Gwen Hayes and Der- rick Brooks as Co-Grand Marshals, will consist of 110 organizations, 24 floats and 10 bands.
