College Hill Church Of God In Christ To Hold Annual Collegiate Day
SUPT. CHARLES DAVIS ...Pastor
In January of 2010, Col- lege Hill Church Of God In Christ held its First Annual Collegiate Day during their Morning Worship Service. This is a time that graduates and students are encouraged to celebrate their alma maters.
It is a time to pay homage to the various schools that they matriculated and grad- uated from. Many attended one of the Historical Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs), while others at- tended institutes of higher learning from various cities and states throughout the United States.
Acquisition of higher ed- ucation after high school is a goal that is strongly encour-
aged for our youth by the Pastor, Superintendent Charles Davis. Each year a speaker is invited to inspire the students in the congrega- tion. This year Dr. Ken At- water, President of Hillsborough Community College will be the guest speaker.
Congregants and invited guests are encouraged to wear their favorite school colors, or if they are a mem- ber of one of the Divine Nine Greek organizations, they may wear their fraternity or sorority paraphernalia.
All are invited to join the College Hill Church Of God In Christ as we celebrate on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 11 AM.
