Jose Angel Adams, was born September 28, 1973, to Martha Nunez and Lucian K. Adams, in New York City. Jose was welcomed and a special blessing as his pater- nal grandmother passed the same month. Jose was a delight and joy to his 3 older siblings. He was an even tempered and easy to handle baby.
In 1978, his family relocated to Hancock Park (Los Angeles), CA, where he attended elementary school before re-locating to Long Beach, CA in 1981, at which time he began his formal education in the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD).
Jose was a member of Christ Second Baptist Church in Long Beach, CA, under the late Pastor Herman Gore, Sr. He enjoyed serv- ices and the music. He had a strong conviction and loved God and peo- ple.
In the early 1980s, his family moved to Tampa, Florida, where he continued his education and made new friends, some of which would be life long.
Jose enjoyed scary movies, comedy, Youtube, as well as cur- rent events. He enjoyed traveling and would visit friends and go to NYC and other cities. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyed shar- ing, especially with his sister. He was multi-talented and was never afraid to expound his knowledge. He loved music which was no sur- prise as he was an offspring of mu- sical royalty.
He played a major role in men- toring his nieces and nephews. He also served as a surrogate father as well. He loved children, animals (especially the family dogs) who he spoiled rotten! He was a key helper and could be counted on to listen and give sage advice.
On December 14, 2020, he was called to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “Well done thou good and faithful Servant.”
We are greatly comforted that he has earned his wings. He was preceded in death by: his father, Lucian Adams.
