Tampa Police said on Mon- day in the 3600 block of Morri- son Avenue, a burglar entered a home through a window in the rear of the house, and re- moved jewelry and cash.
Detectives said they believe as many as three burglars have been working together in the
area and have committed a string of 22 burglaries dating back to March. In the latest in- cident, the suspect was cap- tured on surveillance video.

ported that on August 6th at 7 p.m., officers responded to the Kain Apartments, 2301 East Sligh Avenue on a report of a man being shot.
Officers arriving on the scene found Jerry D. Robin- son in the parking lot. He was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
Detectives said the shoot- ing was the result of a physical altercation between Robin- son and another man.
During the incident, Robinson was shot when the man he was fighting pulled out a firearm, police said.
No suspect information has been released, and Crime Stoppers is asking for help in identifying the person or per- sons responsible for this of- fense. A reward of up to $3,000 will be available to anyone who can help in locat- ing a suspect who is convicted of the crime.

Man Must Pay $50,000 For Dumping Sewage Into Stream

On Thursday, a Tampa Po- lice Officer was terminated and charged in a sexual bat- tery case. The incident report- edly took place earlier this year.
According to a spokesper- son for the Tampa Police De- partment, on February 1st, Officer Adam York, 42, conducted a traffic stop. The citizen filed a complaint alleg- ing that she was inappropri- ately touched during the traffic stop.
Officials said they launched an investigation into the complaint and based on forensic evidence, determined that “something did happen.”

ney’s decision to prosecute the case, Officer York was taken into custody shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday.
York, who had been a member of the Tampa Police Department for 12 years, was released from the Hillsbor- ough County Jail after posting a $15,000 bond.
Road Rage Incident Turns Deadly For Brandon Driver
A 48-year-old Tampa was arrested February 28, 2016 and charged with felony lit- tering. He pleaded guilty to dumping human waste into a stream on May 4, 2016.
The case against Mer- lando Ephram Corlis, of Tampa, was investigated by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County.
According to court docu- ments, from at least June 2012 through December 2013, Corlis and others di- rected by him, used a vacuum tank to remove human waste from a septic tank on Corlis’
property at 4509 Orient Road, and then unlaw- fully dumped into a stream. The stream ran from the East Lake to the Palm River.
What began as a road rage incident early Wednesday morning ended in tragedy. The case is being investigated by both the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the incident that ended with gunfire began around 6:30 a.m., at the intersection of Dr. M. L. King, Jr., Blvd., and Forbes Road. When deputies arrived, they discovered Gary Lynn Durham had been shot and 42-year-old Robert Padgett was administering first aid.
Officials said Durham, 40, and Padgett became in- volved in an altercation. When the men reached the in- tersection, the altercation es- calated and ended with

Durham was arrested on November 10, 2001 and charged with manslaughter for punching James Gibbs, and killing him when he hit his head on the concrete. He was subsequently convicted and sentenced to serve time in Florida State Prison.

ment is currently seeking help
in identifying a man who re-
moved a package from a porch.
The incident took place on July 27th.
According to police, the pack was left outside the resi- dence at 8306 N. 17th Street. An unidentified Black man was captured on video removing the package from the front porch and fleeing the scene. The pack- age contained items that were valued at more than $100.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying two men suspected of burglarizing two businesses.
On August 5th at 6:12 a. m., two Black males entered Jayce Discount Beverage and Pan- narano Pizzeria, 8860 North Himes Avenue, and 8830 Himes Avenue respectively.
The suspects gained entry into the businesses after smashing the glass doors with
a spark plug.
The suspects, seen on sur-
veillance footage, removed cash from both businesses and fled.
The suspects are described as Black males, 30-to-39 years old both last seen wearing baseball caps and black shoes.
