   2nd Annual HBCU College Fair Planned For September 16th
 The Suncoast Chapter Teens of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. will host its second annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) College Fair from 1-3 p. m. on Sunday, September 16 at Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg.
The inaugural event featured col- lege recruiters and alumni repre- senting over 30 HBCUs, including Howard University, Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Fisk University, Tennessee State, Ed- ward Waters College, Florida Me- morial and Florida A&M University. More than 300 guests attended to meet with the schools.
Now in their second year, the event leaders expect an even bigger turnout of both colleges and fami- lies.

Attendees will have the opportu- nity to speak to alumni and admis- sions reps from colleges and universities, as well as to talk with dedicated experts about general col- lege-related topics, including the college admissions process, finan- cial aid, scholarships, Greek life, and more.

Shorecrest Preparatory School, a
coed, nonsectarian, PK-12 inde- pendent school, is located at 5101 1st St. NE in St. Petersburg.

Jack and Jill of America, Incor- porated is an African-American or- ganization of mothers who nurture future leaders by strengthening chil- dren through chapter programming, community service, legislative advo- cacy and philanthropic giving. T h e Suncoast Chapter of Jack and Jill of America is composed of 35 dedi- cated mothers and 86 children be- tween the ages of 2-18 years old.
