Man Arrested For Trafficking In Amphetamines
A Blessing Of Endurance Thanks Mama,
I Turned Out Fabulous
MRS. LEILA SMITH WILLIAMS August 22
While shopping in Hobby Lobby recently, two magnetic mes- sages caught my attention. As stated, “SOMETIMES when I open my mouth, MY MOTHER COMES OUT;” and “THANKS MOM, I TURNED OUT Fabulous!”
Fashioning Shirley Caesar’s Hold My Mule praise, unapolo- getically and without hesitation, I gave a jubilant hallelujah shout- Yes Lord! Thank You for Mama! Yes, our mama was an enduring spirit who trusted God for strength; and had faith to believe He would carry her through the pain and storms she faced daily.
As Mama would remind us at times, ‘I may not have gone to college, but I do know some things!’
She knew the Lord and had a personal relationship with Him. She knew how to pray, trust in God in the face of trials and tribu- lation; sorrow and joy; heartfelt pain; and physical suffering with crippling arthritis; and how to stand firm on her unwavering faith in Him.
She knew to call upon God; her help and strength and very present help in the time of need! Yes, sometimes when I open my mouth, my mother comes out - “Precious Lord, take my hand.”
In retrospect, Mama and Aretha Franklin, Queen of Soul, both shared a common bond of being loving, caring and sharing; pre- serving with an abiding faith; and receiving God’s blessing of en- durance.
As reported in James 1:12, (NIV): “Blessed is the one who per- severes under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
Thanks Mama, living to turn out fab!
Goodnight Mama, we will see you in the morning!
Your loving children, Juanita, Leatricia, Earliest, Valretha, Maggie, Norma and Michele; and grandchildren.

a short time later and located his backpack. While search- ing the backpack, officers lo- cated a digital scale, U. S. currency and a mixture of methamphetamine and co- caine in five small plastic bag- gies.
The drugs had a total weight of 42.2 grams. The substance tested positive for cocaine, but was submitted to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Lab for testing.
On July 17th, Peterson was charged with cocaine pos- session within 1,000 feet of a church, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a law enforcement officer with- out violence. Peterson was taken to the Sarasota County Jail and later bonded out.
On August 8, officers re- ceived results from the Lab stating the methampheta- mines tested positive for N- Ethlypentylone.

During the investigation, police identified Genard De- mari Smith, Jr., 19, also of Bartow, as the second sus- pect. Smith was arrested in the Azalea Gardens Complex on August 17th.
