ALICIA KEYS, CHRIS ROCK AND LENNY KRAVITZ
If you thought the breakout season of FOX's hit series 'Em- pire' had a nice group of stars, your’re in for a treat on the sec- ond outing.
Launching this fall, the ex- panded 18-episodes season has already confirmed big-name guest stars like Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, and actor-co- median Chris Rock for roles.
It's unclear how the stars will be introduced into the sto- ryline, but more than likely, there will be some good music coming our way.
Last season, the Empire's guest stars included Estelle, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, V. Bozeman and more.
More stars will be an- nounced as the show draws near.
The 18-episodes 'Empire' will take flight this fall for the first half with the second half of its episodes airing in 2016.
Kendrick Lamar Commended At California State Senate
Kendrick Lamar at a March street concert in West Holly- wood organized by Reebok.
Compton's Kendrick Lamar has long been a de facto spokesperson for a gen- eration of ambitious, inquisi- tive young people telling new stories about their hometown. Now the state senator from that district has returned the recognition.
On Monday, Sen. Isadore Hall, III led the Cal- ifornia Senate in announcing Lamar as the 35th Senate District's Generational Icon. The senator praised Lamar's charitable work in donating and highlighting fund drives supporting Compton's school district and local charities.
Hall said Lamar's dona- tions totaled hundreds of thousands of dollars for sports, after-school, music and other programs.
A spokesperson for Comp- ton Unified School District de- clined to discuss specifics of his donations.

IDOL WINNERS: FANTASIA, JORDIN SPARKS, RUBIN STUDDARD AND KELLY CLARKSON
We have American Idol to thank for talented artists like Fantasia, Jordin Sparks, Rubin Studdard, and Kelly Clarkson, but now we must prepare to say good- bye to the long-running real- ity show.
Fox announced on Mon- day (May 11) that the upcom- ing 15th season will be the last hurrah. Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and
Harry Connick, Jr. will close out as judges -- the sea- son will premiere in January 2016 and "pay tribute to the past 14 seasons."
American Idol launched in 2002 and was a ratings champion for close to a decade. In recent years, the show has dropped consider- ably in ratings and has un- dergone several judge changes.
The family of the late Freddie Gray received a huge picker-upper as they continue to mourn the loss of their loved one.
During music icon Prince's #Rally4Peace con- cert in Baltimore Monday night, members of Gray's family, as well as Mike Brown's mom, had the op- portunity to meet and take pictures with Jay Z, Bey- oncé, and Alicia Keys backstage.
The concert was "a cata- lyst for pause and reflection following the outpouring of violence that has gripped Bal- timore and areas throughout the U.S."
Jay Z's Tidal platform also stream the event, which saw a portion of the proceeds going to youth charities in Baltimore.
During his set, Prince demanded social change while paying tribute to vic- tims of violent crimes.

Diddy Says Marriage Is Not In Sight
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are facing a “Sophie’s Choice” decision about her newly installed lawn: Let half of it die — or replace it with artificial grass and stonescaping.
Water investigators have
drafted a personal letter to them, warning to cut water use on her Hidden Hills es- tate by 50 percent. The warning’s also being sent to others as California experi- ences what is becoming the worst drought in its history.
Sean “Diddy” Combs
at age 46 says he still isn’t ready for a trip down the aisle.
While promoting his new fragrance, 3AM, on “ Watch What Happens Live,” the mogul explained that he isn’t opposed to marriage, he just isn’t ready.
“It’s the whole thing of ... I think you have to be ready for it,” he explained. “There’s somebody else’s heart in- volved and that’s a lot of re- sponsibility. And I don’t want to be going to courts and hav- ing somebody be like inter- fere in my relationships so I rather just do the Goldie Hawn.”
Hawn and Kurt Russell have famously avoided mar- riage after 32 years of dating.
Although a trip down the aisle for Diddy is less likely to happen, he’s willing to enter an agreement that

yields financial benefit should things go wrong.
“I will give a contract,” Diddy added. “I will commit to a contract — a love con- tract.”
It’s unclear if Diddy has a “love contract” in place with his longtime girlfriend, Cassie, who also stars in his 3AM ad.
Diddy is the father of 6 children.
