DEACON GEORGE WASHINGTON
Homegoing services for Dea- con George Washington who passed away May 19, 2017 will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at 34th Street Church of God, 3000 34th St. Tampa, FL, 33610, Rev. Dr. Thomas Scott, Pastor. Rev. Thomas Haywood, officiat- ing. Interment will be placed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Deacon Washington was born April 26, 1938 in Albany, GA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Booker T. (Lessie) Washington. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Delores G. Washington and to this union five children was born.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ories: three sons, Donald Wash- ington (Cheryl), George L Washington, and Allyn D. Wash- ington (Prince); two daughters, Sonya Bowman and Paulette Washington; seven grandchil- dren, Keyana Belvin, Khaliam Washington, Delores Gray (Sam), Vernardo Hines, Vergil Hines, Leonard Washington, Allyn Washington Jr.; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Booker T. Washington, Verdell Harris (Jacksonville, FL), Eufa Eber- hart, Lessie Hooks (Raymond), Ozell Washington Gainer (Al- bany, GA), bother-in-law Robert Lee Davis (Sacramento, CA); spe- cial friends, Leon Willis, Lorretta Mathis and Bud Stager; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation for Deacon George Washington will be held this Fri- day, May 26, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th St, Tampa, FL 33610. Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The processional will as- semble Saturday at the church at 10:45 a.m.

Mr. John Randall Cox of Temple Terrace, passed away, Saturday, May 13, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, May 27, at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St., with Reverend Evan Burrows, Senior Pastor, officiating. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. John Randall Cox was born, June 4, 1951 in Quincy, FL. He was God’s precious gift to the late John and Alice Cox and John D. Johnson. In 1968, he graduated from Jamaica High School in Queens, New York. After graduation he moved to Tampa, FL where he worked for Nabisco/ Kraft Foods, Inc. for 39 years. Mr. Cox was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast!
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his sister, Kath- leen Cox-Sconiers; brother, Terry Eugene Armstead; aunt, Willie Bell Sanders; uncle, David Armstead; and nephew, Audwin (LilTee) Edward.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Teresa Cox Terry (Jimmy), Felecia Cox- Beckham (Donte’), Jamon Cox (Kandyce), Justin Cox and sig- nificant other (Myeisha). He also leaves: his significant other, Gwendoyn L. Wilson; his siblings, Wesley Cox, Marzette Williams, Vecelia Cox, Cunora Cox-Waltower (Eric), Troy A. Cox, Herbert J. Cox, Tony D. Cox (Rica) and Ron K. Cox (Tan- gela); his grandkids, Mauresa Miller, Emmesha Bunkley, Ene- sha Bunkley, Jimaysha Terry, Lauren Bivens, Jastyn Baillou- Cox, Jayce Cox, Justin Cox, Jr. and Dayia Beckham; his great- grandchildren, Wendell Del- homme, Ethan Bunkley Williams, and Naomi Del- homme; his uncle, Sam Sanders; and aunt, Eloise Arm- stead; nieces and nephews, Terri Armstead-Williams, La- toya Cox, Tirea Cox, Danielle Cox, Brianna Cox, Elijah Williams, Warren Williams, Nicholas Cox, Micheal Cox, Wesley Cox, Jr., Troy Cox, Jr., Tony Cox, Jr., Ron Cox, Jr., Luke Cox, Ari Cox; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and caring friends.
John Cox was a man of few words that believed in hard work with no handouts. If he could say one thing he would say, “Please don’t cry for me in sympathy, but have empathy for my loved ones who have lost a hard working and loving Fa- ther!”

MRS. LYDIA H. MCNEAL
Mrs. Lydia H. McNeal of Tampa, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 27, at 10 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Dr. Sam Maxwell, Senior Teaching Pas- tor, officiating, with Pastor Bobby White of New Judson Baptist Church, Panama City, FL, eulogist.
Mrs. Lydia H. McNeal was born November 29, 1947 in Tampa, to the parentage of Frank and Estella Henderson. She was raised in the Hyde Park area. In 1971 she became a resi- dent of The Progress Village Community where she resided until her demise. She was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School.
She was employed at USF@G Insurance Company as a Claims Coordinator for 22 years and later retired as a cook at The Progress Village Christian Acad- emy. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Progress Village under the pastorate of Rev. Roosevelt Robinson, Jr. and later, her current pastor, Dr. Sam Maxwell. She was ac- tive in Women’s Mission and the #1 Ushers until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by: both parents, Frank and Es- tella Henderson; sisters, Freda Washington, Nita Henderson, Diane Henderson and Bertha Henderson; brother, Frank Henderson and a special niece, Tracy Washington.
She leaves to cherish loving memories with: her husband, Franklin C. McNeal; devoted daughters, Vandalyn R. Alicea, Tameka L. McNeal and Andrea L. Henderson; grandchildren, Shemar and Samara Hender- son; brother, Meredith Hender- son; sisters, Wanda Henderson, Belinda Fluker and Stacy John- son; mother-in-law, Ruth Mc- Neal; brothers-in- law, Bobby (Piquieta) White and Phillip Finch; sisters-in-law, Ann Pow- ell, Cathy White, Amy (Billy) Long, Marcia (James) Wiley, Carol (David) Hughes, Doshie (Karl) Walker and Sarah Finch; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other sorrowing rela-

Ms. Abigale Necola Parry was a native of Kingston, Ja- maica and a resident of Tampa for 5 years. She attended Gary Adult High School and later en- rolled in the Job Corps. Ms. Parry was a member of St. John Progressive M. B. Church and was a former student studying to be a pastry chef at Carl D. Perkins Job Corp in Maryland.

Yolanda Elaine Colson was born in Hollywood, Florida on December 16, to the late Ernest Colson and Laura Simpson. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, Florida, graduating from Hills- borough High School. Ms. Col- son was a United States Army Veteran and was employed for Hillsborough County at Chil- dren Home Network.
She was a member of Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of former Pastor, Reverend Albert Gallmon, Jr. She accepted Christ in the ’80s and was bap- tized at Peace Progressive Mis- sionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W. F. Leonard. She was a faithful and dutiful member of Peace Mis- sionary Baptist Church of Tampa, FL. She was a member of Adult Usher Ministry.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Ernest Colson.
