Netflix’s Barry
Mega-streaming service Net- flix will be home to a new story on the man known as Barry, formally known to the masses as President Barack Obama.
The film picks up during President Obama’s tenure at Columbia University in 1981, which showcases his relation- ship with his parents, and situ- ations where Obama “finds himself pulled between various social spheres,” a portion of the description for the movie reads.
“Before he created change,” and “Before he made us believe we can” are a few of the tag- lines viewers see in the reel’s trailer, setting us up for a story that’s presumably rarely told on film.

Kofi Siriboe is no stranger to the spotlight. Audiences were introduced to the dreamy actor in the 2008 film The Longshots and since then, he has gone from strength to strength starring in movies such as Prom, Whiplash, Straight Outta Compton and many more.

Kofi Siriboe, 22, is the newest star to emerge from a scripted film by OWN TV.

Michael B. Jordan is taking his talents into the creative boardroom. The Newark native announced the launch of Outlier Productions, where the newly- minted executive producer will fulfill his duties under a “multi- year first-look film and TV pro- duction deal with Skydance Media,” The Hollywood Re- porter states.
First up on the Creed actor’s agenda will be a new show titled Apollo Park. The drama series will focus on a young profes- sional basketball player’s career, and his touchy relationship with family and friends in Detroit, Mich.

Kanye West has added a second leg to his Saint Pablo Tour.
The new dates for the tour will open up with a perform- ance in San Jose, CA Novem- ber 17 and will also include dates in Denver and Houston, along with a New Year’s Eve concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Tickets for the new dates went on sale Saturday, Octo- ber 22 at livenation.com.
Kanye is still making noise on the charts as well, as his hit single from his The Life of Pablo release “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” claimed the No.1 spot at Urban Radio this week.

Officially Sentenced
Ciara Is Named Revlon Ambassador
To 7-Year Prison Stint
Rapper Bobby Shmurda has been sentenced to serve seven years behind bars.
The Hip-Hop newcomer, real name Ackquille Pollard, has been locked up since De- cember, 2014, following his ar- rest during a police sting operation in Manhattan.
He was charged with counts of conspiracy to commit mur- der, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and more, and, after a series of delays, jury selection in the case was due to begin last month.
However, a plea deal was struck with authorities last month and Pollard pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon, in exchange for hav- ing his other counts dismissed. He was sentenced to seven years in prison, but was granted credit for time served.
Bobby Shmurda has been in jail since 2014.
He will also spend five years on probation and also waived his right to appeal the sen- tence.
On Wednesday (Oct. 19), he was officially sentenced in Manhattan Supreme Court and will reportedly be released in 2021.
Shmurda says he was forced to take the plea.
Between getting engaged, married and scoring a modeling contract with IMG, Ciara is having the best year ever.
Most recently, the singer and model landed another big gig as the new spokeswoman for Revlon.
Ciara shared that she’s had a personal connection with the legacy cosmetics, skin care, fra- grance, and personal care com- pany brand since before her birth.
“My mom had been trying to figure out my name for a long time before I was born... it was two names — it was Bianca or something else — nothing had anything to do with Ciara,” she said. “Then my dad bought her the fragrance — the Ciara fra- grance by Revlon — from the commissary at the military base.
