Murray State DE Marries Girlfriend On Football Field After Practice
Bishop Woods married his girlfriend, and mother of his son, Caitlin Myers on Tuesday after practice in front of his coaches and football friends.
fraternity brothers gathered Sunday before the Detroit Lions hosted the Arizona Cardinals to support the un- signed quarterback.
About 50 members of the Kappa Alpha Psi alumni chapter marched about a mile from the Historic Kappa House, on Erskine Street in Brush Park, in a peaceful protest that ended just out- side Ford Field.
“When you look at some of the recent incidents like what happened to Michael Bennett in Las Vegas, it val- idates the stance that Colin Kaepernick has taken,” said Eric Brown, a former president of the fraternity’s alumni chapter in Detroit.

Murray State defensive lineman Bishop Woods ex- changed “I dos” with his long- time girlfriend Caitlin Myers in an unexpected (and rather unorthodox) location on Sep- tember 12, 2017.
The couple became hus- band and wife at midfield of Roy Stewart Stadium after practice in front of Woods’ teammates, and the ceremony was officiated by the offensive line coach, Brian Hamilton.
The whole thing was en- tirely unplanned — in fact, Woods learned during the day on Tuesday that his coach Brian Hamilton was an or- dained minister, and asked him on the spur of the moment if he would be willing to con- duct a ceremony.
“When?” Hamilton asked.
“Today?” Woods sug- gested.
“Sure, why not?” Hamil- ton replied.
Woods and Myers have been a couple since 2014, and they welcomed a son, Ben- jamin, into the world four months ago. They were tired of waiting to make their family legally official, so when Woods learned of Hamil- ton’s ordained ministry sta- tus, it seemed like an easy solution.
After receiving Hamil- ton’s consent, Woods called up Myers and told her the good news: They could have their wedding ceremony right there in front of their friends, without waiting any longer. She was in.
“We kind of made it up on the fly,” Woods said. “Coach Ham is one of my favorite coaches. He’s been teaching me a lot about fatherhood and other things.” Hamilton was honored and thrilled to be able to play a part in the couple’s special moment.
Americans Spent $100 Billion On Sports Related Stuff
A look at how much Amer- icans spent on sports over the past 12 months shows that it’s true that they value experi- ences over things.
Especially when it comes to millennials.
“Sporting events were cer- tainly the biggest cost,” said Matt Schulz, senior industry analyst at creditcards.com, which conducted the re- search.
Over the past year, Ameri- cans spent a whopping $100 billion on sports — and over half of it on sporting events. The next biggest expenditure was sports equipment, on which Americans spent $33 billion. Following that was gym memberships, on which Americans spent $19 billion.
A further dive into the re- sults showed that millennials spent the most on gym mem-

Brown said the Kappa Alpha Psi planned to have similar gatherings in Dallas and Atlanta before future NFL games.
