Another White House Adviser Resigns: This Time Its Homeland Security
President Donald Trump's top homeland security adviser, Tom Bossert, is resigning, the White House said Tuesday.
Bossert led the admin- istration’s responses to nat- ural disasters, terrorist attacks and cyber incidents.
Bossert’s departure came one day after John Bolton began work as

In his time as homeland security adviser, Bossert was the pubic face of several notable incidents. Follow- ing the devastating storms in Texas, Puerto Rico and Florida last year, Bossert frequently briefed reporters on the status of the admin- istration’s recovery efforts.
Robert Johnson, the founder of BET and the na- tion’s first Black billionaire, gave Trump supporters some- thing to crow about after he in- correctly credited the president for improving the job outlook for African-Americans.
“When you look at African- American unemployment, in over 50 years since the Bureau of Labor Statistics has been keeping the numbers, you’ve never had two things: African- American unemployment this low and the spread between unemployment among whites and African-Americans nar- rowing,” Johnson said Friday on CNBC’s Squawk Box.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Ask That Wedding Gifts Go To Charity
The royal wedding of Meghan Markle to Prince Harry is set for May 18. The Prince and his fiancee are in- credibly grateful for the good- will they have received since their engagement, and have asked that anyone who might wish to mark the occasion of their wedding considers giv- ing to charity, instead of sending a gift.
The two have personally chosen seven charities which represent a range of issues that they are passionate about, including sport for so- cial change, women’s em- powerment, conservation, the environment, homeless- ness, HIV and the Armed Forces,” Kensington Palace explained, adding that the couple do not have official re-

These causes include Chiva Projects, an organiza- tion helping kids dealing with AIDS; Crisis U.K., the na- tional charity for homeless- ness; Corporal Scotty, a
group for children of the armed forces; youth sports charity Street Games; the ocean conservation group Surfers Against Sewage; and Wilderness U.K., which gives urban youth access to the great outdoors.
FBI Raids President’s Personal Lawyer’s Office And Home
Federal agents on Monday raided the Manhattan office, home and hotel room of Don- ald Trump’s longtime per- sonal attorney Michael Cohen.
According to reports, the raid is the clearest sign yet that the president’s longtime attor- ney is in serious legal jeopardy. They also represent yet another threatening development fac- ing Donald Trump after more than a year of investiga- tions into his campaign and presidency—perhaps the most direct danger yet.
Among the things seized were records of payment to porn star Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 presi- dential election. Daniels claims she had an affair with Trump more than a decade ago.
Cohen is being investigated for possible bank fraud and campaign finance violations, Washington Post reported, cit- ing an unnamed source.
Also seized in the Monday raid were tax documents and business records, and commu- nications between Cohen and Trump, reported the New York Times, which broke the story of the office no-knock raid.
Fox News reported docu- ments also were taken from Cohen’s home and the hotel room in which he was staying while repairs were being one to his home.

President Trump in an angry response, lashed out hours later at what a person briefed on the matter said was an investigation into possible bank fraud by Mr. Cohen. Mr. Trump accused his own Justice Department of perpe- trating a “witch hunt” and as- serted that the F.B.I. “broke in to” Mr. Cohen’s office.
The president, who spoke at the White House before meet- ing with senior military com- manders about a potential missile strike on Syria, called the F.B.I. raid a “disgraceful situation” and an “attack on our country in a true sense.”
Facebook CEO Testifies Before Congress About Abuse Of User
 Information During 2016 Election
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was in Wash- ington, D. C. on this week to testify before Congress about how the platform was abused during the 2016 presidential election.
Zuckerberg’s No. 1 mis- sion during his appearance before was to defend against calls to regulate internet- based companies.
According to reports, the prospect of new laws that re- strict Facebook and other in- ternet companies is extremely unlikely, not only because of a lack of political will and the effective lobbying of technology companies, but because few lawmakers want to grapple with the sheer complexity of the technical issues involved.

He is confronting com- bined outrage over how Rus- sia used Facebook to spread divisive political propaganda during the 2016 U.S. presi- dential election and how Facebook seemed unaware that a political consultant,
Cambridge Analytica, im- properly harvested personal data of about 87 million Facebook users, most of them Americans.
In a statement on Mon- day, Zuckerberg said, “I started Facebook, I run it, and I’m responsible for what happens here”.
