Tampa Man Fatally Wounded By Gunfire
Woman Found Guilty Of Tampering In Teen’s Death

On Wednesday, a jury found a 51-year-old woman guilty of 2 counts of tampering with physical evidence. She was convicted of moving evi- dence in the death investiga- tion of 17-year-old Jayquon Johnson.
After the shooting, police said Ms. Quinn buried both guns in the yard of the Valrico home, and then dug them back up before police arrived.
Ms. Quinn’s first trial was declared a mistrial be- cause the jury couldn’t agree on a verdict and a mistrial was declared.
She was taken into custody after the verdict was read. Her sentencing date is set for April 11, 2018.
Johnson died on January 1, 2017, as a result of a gunshot wound. Cody Quinn, who was 17 at the time, admitted to shooting Johnson, but claimed self-defense. The Hillsborough County State At- torney’s Office did not charge him with the death.
Instead, he was charged with trafficking in oxycodone, possession of cannabis with the intent to sell, being a minor in possession of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Since his son’s death, Johnny Johnson and his family have called for account- ability in the case.
Crime Stoppers Offering Reward For Stolen Machinery

     Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Wednesday. The shoot- ing took place in the 400 block of W. Park Avenue.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers were dispatched to 415 W. Park Avenue, in reference to a shooting. When police ar- rived shortly after 6 a.m., they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound out- side the residence.
The man was identified as 39-year-old William F. Alexander. Alexander died as a result of his injuries.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. However, police

said they do not believe the shooting was random.
The investigation into the murder is continuing, police said.
Unidentified suspects re- moved a Caterpillar 289D Skid Loader from a construc- tion site and fled. The theft took place on March 9th, around 2 a.m.
Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the theft took

place at 3412 19 Avenue, NE,
in Ruskin. Investigators said at 4 a.m., the machine’s GPS indicated it was located at 51330 Bermont rod, Route 75m, in Punta Gorda.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Aviation unit conducted a fly over at the lo-
cation, but were unable to lo- cate the piece of machinery, police said.
The Skid Loader has Pep- per Construction decals along the sides and rear of the unit. If the decals are removed, it will leave different patient coloration from the rest of the machine, police said.

    Police Believe Armed Burglary Of Home Drug Related
 Police responded to 12524 Burgess Hill Dr., in Gibson- ton in reference to an ex- change of gunfire. However, when deputies arrived, the suspects had fled the scene.
During the investigation, detectives were told that two armed men entered the resi- dence. After entering the home, there was reportedly
an exchange of gunfire be- tween the burglary suspects and the occupants of the home.
Police said there are no known injuries as a result of the gunfire exchange. They further said the incident does not appear to be random and appears to have been drug-re- lated.

 Teenager Charged With Possession Of
   Child Pornography
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforce- ment arrested a teenager and charged him with possession of child pornography. He was released from the Hillsbor- ough County Jail after post- ing a $75,000 bond.
According to police, the investigation began after FDLE agents received a cyber tip about more than 150 videos being uploaded to a hosting service on the Inter- net. The tip revealed that the videos depicted child pornog- raphy. The videos were of children under the age of 12.
After several subpoenas and warrants, agents deter- mined that Kyrston Jack- son, 18, of Gibsonton, was

the user of the account. He was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail.
He was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, police said.
