4th Annual Masjid An Nasr Black History Program Awardees Named
The Masjid An Nasr Black History Program (4th Annual) will be held on Friday, Febru- ary 25, 2022, at Islamic Soci- ety of Tampa Bay Area, 7326 E. Sligh Ave., Tampa, FL 33604.
Masjid An Nasr Awardees will include: Jonathan Gra- ham for the Honorable Elijah Muhammad Economic Achievement Award; Tampa Bay Area Muslim Association for the W. D. Mohammed Award; Black-Owned Business of the Year Award goes to, Ward Robe for the Black Busi- ness Bus Tour Award; Yahya Chaudry for the Humanitar- ian Award; Ron McMullen for the Chairman Award; and The Andrew Joseph, III Foun- dation Award goes to LaShawn Currley.

Area as socio-religious aware- ness and common humanity; and then shortly thereafter, became TAMPA BAY AREA MUSLIM ASSOCIATION, INC., in January of 2003. Now it brings humanity together in the Tampa Bay Area for one of the largest Iftar Dinners (Break Fast) as one of the ways to disseminate the presence of Al-Islam and connect human- ity.
Since age twelve, Jonathan has worked in the construction industry, men- tored by his father and uncle. Today, he has more than 40 years of experience.
Jonathan is consistently giving back to the communi- ties in which he works. He is always looking to advance mi- nority and women-owned businesses, especially in the construction industry.

RONALD W. MC- MULLEN, retired as a Major from the Tampa Police De- partment after 30 years of service. He continued his serv- ice through Feeding Tampa Bay and the Masjid An Nasr. He has lived in Hillsborough County for the past forty- five years. āI believe that if we each give a little, collectively we can accomplish a great deal.ā
He currently serves as the President of the FO. Each week, Ron donates his time and vehicle to the Masjid An Nasr - loading, transporting,

Lashawn Currelley, mother of Carl Emanuel Norton, Jr., is a Circle Of Mothers Tampa Florida Mem- ber, fighting for justice for the in-custody death of her son who was a son, father and grandson. This mother is on a mission to find out what hap- pened to her son, Carl, better known as CJ, while in jail. She wants the release of video footage from the jail as reports have indicated that Carl āCJā Norton was beaten to death and didn't die a natural death. The struggle is real and we can't stop and we won't stop dismantling the injustice suf- fered by our people.
