AIKENS
MRS. ETHEL LEE BROWN
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ethel Lee Brown of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the amazing age of 94. Ethel Lee Brown was called to the eternal rest and sang her favorite song, “Down by The Riverside,” all the way to the end.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday July 14th, 11 a. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Pastor Alvin Wingfield, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Ethel was born in DeFuniak Springs, FL on January 16, 1924, to the late Johnny Brown and Eddie Mae Robinson. She later relocated to Tampa, Florida in the mid-1940s, where she continued to reside until the day of her passing.
Ethel was the life of the party and loved to sing and dance in her younger days. She was feisty, but the most loving and family- oriented person that you could ever meet. She loved gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by every- one and will be dearly missed.
Ethel was preceded in death by: her three sisters, Cleo Davis, Norris Myers and Doris Turner; three brothers, John Henry Brown, Eddie Brown and Roger Brown.
Ethel is survived by: her two sons, Alton Tarpley (Treveno) and Earnest Tarpley (significant other Frieda Fountain). Ethel had a total of seven grandchil- dren which included, Niccole Rogers (Corey), Alena Evans (Jimiyu), Melissa Tarpley (Ken- neth), Addison Tarpley (Krys- tle), Myleea Tarpley, Tia Tarpley and Cedric Young (Tyan).
She is also survived by: her eight great- grandchildren, Neela Rogers, Aiden Tarpley, Avery Joy Evans, Skaii Williams, Brittnee White, Mon- ica Young, Brianna Young and Cedric Young, Jr. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 13th at Aikens Fu- neralHomefrom5to7p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.

Homegoing Services for Ms. Debbie Mary Pilcher, who passed away June 24, 2018, will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2 p. m. at Greater Mount Mo- riah Primitive Baptist Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, Florida 33602, Pastor Al Ware, officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
Debbie Pilcher was born No- vember 10, 1965 in Tampa, Florida to Martha Felton. Ms. Pilcher attended Hillsborough County Public Schools. She was a kind, generous, happy, beauti- ful and lively woman, who loved her family and enjoyed life. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and every free moment she had, she spent it with them.
Ms. Pilcher attended Tyler Temple United Methodist Church. She was a great daugh- ter, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who loved her and looked forward to her presence.
She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Robert and Juanita Pilcher; uncles, Robert, Bright Eyes, Raymond Pilcher and James Jenkins; and aunt, Ethel Jenkins.
She leaves to cherish pre- cious memories with: her mother, Martha Felton; chil- dren, Shenita Pilcher, Shatoya Pilcher, and Robert Pilcher; sib- lings, Johnny Felton (Anita), Ornita Felton, Theresa Thomp- son (Adrian) and Tomica Ship- man, all of Tampa, FL; aunts and uncle, Maryland Sinkfield, Eddie and Josephine Holmes, all of Tampa, FL; nieces and nephews, Cieria, Wiilie, Quan- tavia, Destiny, Brittany, Shawanna, Milton, Clarence, Johnesha, Johniqua, Stephen, Janay, Bobquilla, Waheed, Markis, Antonio and Jamarcs, all of Tampa; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly; special family, Talisa Jenkins, Kimberly Adams, Kaytoria Roberson, Donneka Crawley, Teresa Jenk- ins, Shykeria Adams- Roseboro (Hershel) and Tracie Jenkins.
Visitation for Ms. Pilcher will be held this Friday evening from 5-8 p. m. at Harmon Fu- neral Home.

Mrs. Barbara Allen Jackson of Tampa passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018. Inter- ment will be held Monday, July 16 at 12:30 p. m. at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
Mrs. Barbara Allen Jackson was a native of Montgomery, Ala- bama and a resident of Tampa for 46 years. She was a graduate of Alabama State University and the University of Tampa. M r s . Jackson was a member of the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, In- corporated, and the Tampa Chap- ter of the Links, Incorporated. She retired as an Educator from the School District of Hillsbor- ough County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Allen and Eve- lyn Anthony Allen; and husband, Paul Phillip Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Kerry Jack- son (Monique), Kevin Jackson (Jamalya) and Keith Jackson; 4 grandchildren, Bailey Jackson, Lindsey Jackson, Jevon Jackson and Kamryn Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, July 13 and the family will receive friends from 7 p.m.to8p.m.atRayWilliams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

MR. WILLIE L. HOPKINS, JR.
Mr. Willie L. Hopkins, Jr., of Tampa, Florida, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018. A Memo- rial Service will be conducted Saturday, July 14 at 4:30 p. m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses - Zephyrhills, 34938 Chancey Road, Zephyrhills, FL 3354,1 with Brother Barry Rehus, officiating. Interment will be held Monday, July 16 at 11 a. m. at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
Mr. Willie L. Hopkins, Jr., was a native and lifelong resi- dent of Tampa, Florida. He re- ceived his education at St. Peter Claver Catholic School and was a graduate of Middleton Senior High School. Mr. Hopkins fur- thered his education at Florida A & M University, where he earned a double Associates de- gree in Mathematics and Ac- counting. He was then drafted by the United States Army and served until Honorably dis- charged.
Mr. Hopkins retired from the United States Postal Serv- ice, where he was a devoted em- ployee for many years and also a member of the APWU union where he held various officer positions.
Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jeho- vah’s Witnesses - Zephyrhills, FL.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie L. Hop- kins, Sr. and Ophelia Louise Skinner Hopkins; sister, Geral- dine; brother, Garland; and daughter, Denise.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted and loving wife, Edith L. Hopkins; chil- dren, Ophelia “Jenny” (Arnold) Jones, Andrea Hopkins, Robert (Carmella) Thomas, Loletia (Jean Baptiste) Cherizard, Car- vester Thomas, Gabriel (LySaundra) Solomon and Chandrea (Darrell) Hernandez; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other sorrowing rela- tives and friends.

Church, Progress Vil- lage, 5202 S. 86th Street, with Reverend James Murphy, offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Allie B. McPherson was a native of St. Augustine, Florida and resident of Tampa for many years. She was a grad- uate of Brewster-Duval School of Nursing, Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. McPherson enjoyed her career as a Registered Nurse at Tampa General Hospital and also inspired many future nurses by becoming a Licensed Practical Nursing Instructor with the School District of Hillsborough County, Erwin Technical School, where she re- tired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert James Brooks and Anna Bell York Brooks; husband, John P. Har- ris; daughter, Michelle McPher- son; granddaughter, Elisa McPherson; brothers, Reuben Peppers, Leroy Peppers and S. Sgt. Robert J. Brooks; and sis- ters, Gladys McRae and Lula M. Coley.
She leaves to cherish her memory: grandsons, Alan Mark McPherson (Ena) and DeAn- gelo Taylor, Sr.; three great granddaughters, Janell McPherson, Ashleigh McPher- son and Alena McPherson; two great- grandson, DeAngelo Tay- lor, Jr. and Kai Taylor; one great-great grandson, Lamon Lattimore; sister, Frances Po- lite of Hinesville, GA; nephews, Irvin Preston, Edward Davis and Everett Davis; godchildren, Vaughn Akins and Plakisia Allen-Wright; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
