A 28-year-old Tampa man is recovering after being shot by police. The incident took place Wednesday evening.
According to the Lakeland Police Department, shortly after 7 p.m., officers re- sponded to a carjacking at 1330 E. Lemon Street. The victim, identified as Edwin Lemuel Soto, told police that he was sitting in his 2000 Mazda 626 waiting on a friend. Police said they believe Colston’s gun malfunc- tioned before he could fire additional shots at the offi- cer.

Colston was treated medically for his injuries and taken into custody. He is fac- ing several charges in con- nection with the incident.

Plant City Police Need Help To Solve Burglary
Famous Footwear Burglary
On July 1st, two men en- tered the Famous Footwear Store, 213 Alexander Street, in Plant City. They gained entry by smashing the front window.
Once inside, the men took shoes and socks valued at hun- dreds of dollars. Police said the burglary suspects traveled to and from the store on bicy- cles.
The men were wearing dark clothing and black hooded jackets. Detectives be- lieve the men could be the same persons responsible for recent burglaries of cell phone stores in the area.

The CI called Harper and requested two ounces of heroin. Harper agreed to meet the CI at a location in Manatee County and sell him two ounces of heroin for
