MRS. MARY LEE DENSON BANKS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mary Lee Denson Banks, of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, Febru- ary 9, 2020, will be held Satur- day, February 22nd, 4 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd., Rev. Timothy Lancaster, officiating.
Mary was born January 16, 1944, in Ashburn, Georgia, to the late Gennie and Beatrice Denson. She enjoyed going to the Dog Track.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Lonnie Lee Banks; parents, Gennie and Beatrice Denson; siblings, Nolan Denson and Elizabeth Denson; nephew, Clark Denson, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her children, James A. Denson (Charlene) and Tamika L. Pot- ter; grandchildren, Shemika L. Smith, Alneisha Mosley, DeMar- cus McCall (Esoterica), Otis Banks (Monesha), Marc Cole- man, Jr. and Xavian Denson; great-grandchildren, Keon, Nieva, Nakayh, Wesley, Nushawn, Mariyah, Nazaria, Rashad, Amir, Amira E., Elijah and Zion; brothers, Gennie Den- son, Jr. (Geneva), Clark Denson, Sr. and Leon Denson; sisters, Ola Mae Walker, Carrie Mae Denson, Beatrice L. Grady, Lula M. Gowins, Leila M. Taylor and Helen Denson; close friend, Mr. Carl; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives that will truly miss her.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 21st from 5 to 7 p. m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p. m.

MR. CAREY ELLIS BARNES, SR. (‘SONNY’)
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Carey Ellis Barnes, Sr., of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020, will be held on Saturday, Febru- ary 22nd, 11 a. m. at New Progress M. B. Church, 3307 E. Shad- owlawn Ave., Pastor Maurice Taylor, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Carey Ellis Barnes, Sr., affec- tionally called “Sonny,” was born May 9, 1928, in Pensacola, Florida, to the late James Arthur Barnes, Sr. and Elizabeth Clack Barnes. He was educated in Pen- sacola, Florida. He worked for Oman Construction Company for over 50 years. In addition to working at Oman Construction, he worked part-time, for Eastern Airlines. He was a faithful mem- ber of New Progress Missionary Baptist Church for many years and he was a faithful giver.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings, James A. Barnes, Jr., Vernell and Mary Barnes Ball; his children’s mother, Bettye Jean McClendon Walker; daughters, Mary Barnes Davis and Yvette Barnes; great- great-granddaughter, Jai Best; brother-in-law, Robert P. Ball and sister-in-law, Onnie Barnes; nephew, Reginald Barnes; niece, Regina Barnes; loving compan- ion, Daisy Thompkins.

Sebrina was born October 12, 1971 in Tampa, Florida. Sebrina enjoyed reading and helping oth- ers.

DEA. LUARTHUR ROBERTSON, SR.
A Celebration of Life Service for Dea. Luarthur Robertson, Sr., will be held on Saturday, February 22,at10a.m.atNewHopeMis- sionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott St., Minister Bruce Bryant, interim pastor with Bishop Sylvester Robinson, pastor of Peace Progressive M. B. Church, officiating and eulogist. The inter- ment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dea. Luarthur Robertson, Sr., was born in Eufaula, Alabama, on September 18, 1951 to the union of the late Dea. Wilson Robertson, Sr., and Mrs. Eunice (Madea) Robertson. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and a graduate of Middle- ton Senior High School, Class of 1970. He continued his education at Allen University, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science de- gree in 1974. He retired from the Office of Public Defender, Thir- teenth Judicial Circuit, after 35 years of dedicated service as an in- vestigator.
Dea. Robertson was joined in holy matrimony to Betty (Hollinger) Robertson and to that union two sons were born, Luar- thur Robertson, Jr. and Keldrick Robertson. Dea. Robertson was a member of Peace Progressive M. B. Church, under the leadership of several pastors. He was ordained a deacon, February, 2011. Dea. Robertson was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
In his retirement he attended the weekly Bible group and was a member of the Legends Breakfast Club. He was a member of Leg- ends of Tampa, Florida, and was
awarded the Unsung Hero Award, October 2013.
He was preceded in death by: parents; mother-in-law, Alma Hollinger; father-in-law, Robert Hollinger; sisters-in-law, Ann Robertson, Cliffette Hollinger and Felice Brown-Hollinger; brothers-in-law, Booker Haley and Bobby Hollinger; nephews, Reginald Harrell and Edmond Robertson, Jr.
