Man Accused Of Killing 1, Injuring 4 Others In Shooting
Teenagers Charged With Breaking Into School 4 Times

Detectives have arrested two juveniles in connection with the burglaries of a Christian school. The burglaries took place four times since spring break.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the first burglary at Cambridge Christian School, 6101 N. Ha- bana Avenue, took place on March 10th, the second oc- curred on March 16th. The sus- pects returned to the school again on March 22nd and the final time on March 28th.
Police said the suspects were captured on surveillance enter- ing the campus store.
The Black male attempted to conceal his identity by covering his face with paper towels. He is seen walking directly to the camera and changing its angle to point at the wall.
He and the white male then removed sweaters, hats, jackets, duffel bags, and candy from the store. The property is valued at $1,500.
During the second burglary, the suspects took photography equipment, a laptop and an iPod. These items were valued at $2,800.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the building in any of the burglaries.
Police arrested 15-year-old Zackery Ethan Johnson and charged him with 3 counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure and 3 counts of grand theft.
Grajavier Kelly, also 15, was charged with 4 counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure and 4 counts of grand theft.
Teacher Who Spat On, Slammed Student On Desk Arrested
A 22-year-old Tampa man is facing a first-degree murder charged and 4 counts of at- tempted first-degree murder. He is accused of driving by a nightclub and firing into the crowd of patrons.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, Gary Omar Rivera Montanez was a pa- tron inside the Palace Hookah Lounge, 219 S. Howard Av- enue, Friday night.
Police said Montanez was “aggressively flirting” with sev- eral women, including Ms. Heaven Mayo, who turned to Schneider Simplice, a former bouncer at the club for assis- tance. Simplice and the on- duty bouncer, Khaled Ghoneim, asked Montanez to leave.
Witnesses told police that Montanez said, “Don’t try me like this. I’ve got a gun.” Wit- nesses told police that Mon- tanez also told them he would remember their faces.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., Sat- urday after the club had closed, Montanez is alleged to have driven his vehicle passed the club and fired several shots into the crowd gathered in the parking lot.
One of the bullets struck 34- year-old Mike Franck, of Tal- lahassee, in the chest. He died at the scene. Police said there was no indication that Franck was involved in the original al- tercation.
At least four other people were struck by gunfire, three of which were transported to local hospitals with non-life threat- ening injuries. The victims are

After the shooting, Mon- tanez fled the scene. About 10 minutes after the shooting, an officer pulled over a car match- ing the description of the shooter.
The officer said the driver matched the description of the shooting suspect. He also lo- cated a handgun and shell cas- ing inside the vehicle.
Witnesses also identified Montanez as the shooter. During the interview with de- tectives, Montanez reportedly admitted to being involved in the altercation and shooting into the crowd. However, he claimed the shooting was self- defense.
He is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.
Last Tuesday, the Tampa Police arrested a middle school teacher and charged him with child abuse. He is accused of attacking a stu- dent.
According to police, Luis Rizo, 43, of Tampa, is a teacher at Adams Middle School. Rizo became en- gaged in a verbal altercation with a 12-year-old student in his class.
Police said “Rizo then spit in the victim’s face, grabbed him by his throat, and shoved him onto the desk.”
The attack reportedly re- sulted in the victim having a minor bruise behind his ear.
Rizo is also alleged to have grabbed the child’s fingers and twisted them, put the vic- tim’s hand behind his back and shoved him out of the classroom. The victim had bruising and minor swelling to his fingers.
Rizo was arrested and re- leased from the Hillsborough County Jail after posting a $2,000 bond.

spokesperson for the Hills- borough County School Dis- trict said, “We are taking this matter very seriously. The principal got law enforcement involved as soon as he learned of the allegation.
“The teacher has been pulled from the classroom while the investigation con- tinues.”

Teenager Wanted For Setting Man Afire Surrenders

Early Thursday, police re- sponded to a vacant home at 12015 N. Oregon, in Forest Hills. When they arrived, they discovered a body that had been set afire.
A man walking his dog dis- covered the fire and called 9-1-
1.
Police determined that the
victim was 23-year-old Jose E. Zarragoitia, of Tampa. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner determined the death was a homicide.
SIGFREDO ESPINEL ... Facing second-degree murder charge
Police determined that Sigfredo Espinel, 17, was in- volved in the homicide. A war- rant was issued for his arrest on Saturday.
Police have not released any additional information about the crime, but said the two men were known acquaintances.
Espinel turned himself i n to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday. He is currently being held without bond.
