Mike Evans Smiled About Tom Brady Being His QB While Playing Fortnite
Mike Evans is going to have an opportunity to catch passes from the quarterback most consider to be the great- est of all time, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver sounds as excited about it as you might expect.
Evans was streaming live while playing “Fortnite” over the weekend, and he began talking about Brady signing with the Bucs. Let’s just say it’s obvious Evans feels Brady is an upgrade over Jameis Winston." Upgrade, this man has been to the Pro Bowl three straight years. Caught over a 100 passes each year and this is his way of saying thanks to Jameis.
“Come on man,” stated Deion Sanders. "We will see if he makes the Pro Bowl this

season under Brady."
“I’ve played six years in the
NFL and I haven’t been to the playoffs yet,” Evans said. “Tom Brady has won six Super Bowls.”
Evans also said he had been drinking Hennessy, so he was clearly celebrating the biggest move of the NFL off- season.
Former Philadelphia Ea- gles quarterback Donovan McNabb said Jameis Win- ston would thrive in the New England Patriots offense if signed to replace the legendary Tom Brady.
Winston, who spent the past five years as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starter, is one of the limited number of QB options still available in free agency after Brady an- nounced his signing with the Bucs on Friday.
"I think he would kind of flourish in the New England offense," McNabb told TMZ Sports in an interview released Saturday. "... It'd be more dink-and-dunk, protect the football, and all a sudden we're talking about New England again possibly winning the AFC East."
Amid all the hoopla and hubbub surrounding Tom Brady's arrival in Tampa Bay, the five-season roller coaster that was Jameis Winston's stay as franchise quarterback came to an end minus any true formality.
On Saturday morning, Winston let it be known via Twitter that he was thankful for his time with the Bucca- neers and on the lookout to still achieving his dreams of winning a Super Bowl.
Beginning in 2015 when the Bucs spent the No. 1 over- all pick on him in the draft, Winston has taken Tampa on a ride of thrills and spills, ending a run of 72 games' worth of action with a 28-42 record as a starter, 121 touch- downs and 88 interceptions.
Perhaps no season was more emblematic of Win- ston than the most recent 2019 campaign, in which he set the franchise record with 5,109 yards and also became
the first player with 30 or more touchdown passes and 30 or more interceptions in the same year. He had 33 TDs and a league-leading 30 picks.
Now, the Bucs have turned the NFL upside down with the addition of Brady - - who has 29 combined inter- ceptions over the past four seasons.
For Winston, he's among the biggest quarter- back names looking for a suitor -- along with likely trade-or-release candidates Cam Newton and Andy Dalton.
With few starting spots looking to be open, Win- ston's road would seem to be an unpredictable one, but that's nothing new. And on Saturday, he gave his "love and respect" for the five years behind him while letting it be known he wasn't done dreaming or aiming for the next Super Bowl.

Todd Gurley’s Knee Is ‘Very Bad’ Right Now
The Atlanta Falcons are excited about the homecom- ing of star running back Todd Gurley, but the questions about his health won’t just be going away.
Jeff Schultz of The Ath- letic quoted an NFL source this week who gave a pes- simistic outlook on the three- time Pro Bowler’s troublesome left knee, calling it “very bad” right now.
The 25-year-old Gurley saw the arthritic knee become a major concern during the Rams’ 2018 Super Bowl run, particularly when his produc- tion tailed off at the end of the playoffs. While Gurley still had a solid 2019 on paper with 857 rush yards and 12 touch-

downs in 15 games, the Rams were conservative with his workload and gave extra snaps here and there to backup Mal- colm Brown.
Gurley has downplayed concerns about the health of his knee, but he probably won’t be a workhorse in At- lanta like some of the league’s other elite backs.
CAMERON BRATE
Tight end Cameron Brate has agreed to restruc- ture his current contract with the Buccaneers.
The move creates a little bit of breathing room for Tampa Bay in terms of their remaining salary cap.
He was due to make $6 million in 2020, and $4m of that would have been guaran- teed today. 27 TDs in last five years, and a key target for Tom Brady this fall.
The team also reportedly is bringing back safety Andrew Adams.
