Rihanna's Foundation Donates $5 Million To Help Fight Coronavirus
The Weeknd Dedicates 'After
Rihanna's foundation has donated $5 million to various organizations assisting with coronavirus relief efforts.
The Clara Lionel Foundation announced the donation in a statement on Saturday.
"When we first began this year, never could we have imagined how (the coron- avirus) would so dramatically alter our lives," the foundation said.
"It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, this pandemic will affect us all. And for the world's most vulnera- ble, the worst may be yet to come."
The foundation donated the money to Direct Relief, Feed- ing America, Partners in Health, The World Health Or- ganization's COVID-19 Soli- darity Response Fund and the

International Rescue Commit- tee, among others.
The foundation said its goal is "to immediately mobilize a broad response working with
on-the-ground partners."
The funds will go towards local food banks, accelerating testing in countries like Haiti and Malawi, and protective equipment for frontline health
workers.
The donation will also help
protect Native communities by providing them with resources to fight the virus.
Rihanna started the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012. The nonprofit organization, named in honor of her grand- parents, funds education and emergency response programs around the world.
Other celebrities -- includ- ing Justin Timberlake, Do- natella Versace and many NBA players -- have also do- nated funds to help schools, hospitals and food banks over- whelmed by the pandemic.
In the lead-up to the upcom- ing release of his new album, After Hours, The Weeknd has paid tribute to a fan who recently passed away.
On Twitter, The Weeknd expressed his shock upon learning about the death of a fan known as XOPODCAST online. The "Blinding Lights" artist was clearly close enough to the fan to know him as Lance, reposting a statement on his passing.
He followed up by paying his respects to Lance. "RIP LANCE aka XOPODCAST," he wrote. "You were one of the true original backbones of my

Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake remains on top of the Billboard 200 for a second straight week. After debuting at No. 1, the Atlantic Records artist’s sophomore LP secured another week atop the chart thanks to a very small dip in sales.
Uzi’s project sold 247,000 album equivalent units in the U. S. for the week ending on March 19, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. That’s down 14 percent from the

The Boogie Down Pro- ductions O.G. kicked off the festivities on Wednesday (March 18) in an effort to com- bat the isolation the coron- avirus is forcing on people and by the weekend, the event was on fire.

Donald Glover Returns With
Donald Glover dropped a surprise 12-track project on his website “Donald Glover Pres- ents” last week, only for it to disappear less than a day later. On Friday (March 20), the Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner launched a mysterious countdown that was evidently leading to a new Childish Gambino album called 3.15.20.
Judging by the features, which includes Ariana Grande, 21 Savage and Khadja Bonet, it’s the same project that surfaced the first time.
3.15.20 marks the follow-up to the 2016 Childish Gam- bino Awaken My Love! and Glover’s inaugural full-length
DONALD GLOVER
release under Wolf+Roth- stein/RCA Records. The album is available in two forms on all digital streaming platforms – a continuous play version under “Donald Glover Presents” and a standard track-by-track ver- sion under “Childish Gam- bino.”
