Men’s Health Forum
The annual Free Men’s Health Forum was held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the University of South Florida Marshall Center. The event, a free men’s health check- up, is presented by Moffitt Cancer Center. Several health readings were made for those in attendance, as well as prostate vouchers were available for men ages 55 to 75 years old.
Baseball legend and prostate cancer survivor Ken Griffey, Sr. was in town for the forum.
Griffey, Sr. lost four uncles to prostate cancer before he was diagnosed with the disease in 2006. This has been a subject close to his heart and to his family for some time. As part of Men Who Speak Up, he encouraged men to speak up about advanced prostate cancer symptoms, which may indicate the disease is progress- ing. (Photos by BRUNSON)
