MS. SANDRA YVETTE ERVIN
A homegoing celebration for Ms. Sandra Yvette Ervin of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 a. m., First Mis- sionary Baptist Church of Seffner, Rev. Nathaniel Love, pastor, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Sandra was born on March 1, 1960 in Tampa, to Samuel Ervin, Jr. and Esther Louise Ervin. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age by her grandfather, Rev. L. R. Stancil, pastor of New Bethel Progressive M. B. Church in Tampa.
Sandra attended the schools of Hillsborough County. She was a graduate of King High School, class of 1977, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and an athlete on the track team, who helped win medals in several of their county and state events. She also graduated from Florida State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked as a claims representa- tive for Health Plan Services, Inc., and later became an assis- tant manager of Policy Services for USAA Insurance Company.
Sandra was an avid reader of all genres of literature but, especially enjoyed African American history, politics and life. She was a faithful and con- scientious student of the Holy Bible and loved to discuss and teach scriptures. She loved teaching Sunday school and taught Adult Vacation Bible School classes for several years; these were some of her proudest moments.
She was very charitable to others, especially the elderly, and an encouraging friend to the younger generation. Sandra was a talented seamstress, a skill she developed in her high school home economics class. She loved to sew for family and friends. Although Sandra had many health challenges during
her lifetime, she was persistent and constant in helping others quietly.
She was preceded in death by: her aunt, Lila Joyce Ervin McCardy; uncle, Hercules Stancil, Sr.; and first cousin, Herbert Lamar Ervin.
She leaves to mourn her memories with: her parents, Samuel Ervin, Jr. and Esther Louise Stancil; sister, Cynthia Yolanda Ervin; aunts, Mattie Mae Ervin, Lee Etta Ervin-Love of Columbia, S. C., and Betty Stancil of Bradley, FL; first cousins, Torya McCardy Powell of Marlboro, MD, Lt. Col. Robert Love, Jr. (Julie) of Alexandra, VA, Rodney Love (Pilani) of Columbia, SC, Mamie Thomas of Lakeland, FL, Laurea Warner (Johnny), Debbie Mitchel (Frederick) of Bradley, FL, Hercules Stancil, Jr. (Sonja) of Lakeland, FL, Rev. Troy Stancil (Cassie) of Bradley, FL and Yolanda Marie Ervin; and a host of other rela- tives including the legacies of the following families, Stancil, Warner, Nealy, White, Scurry and Brown; special friends, Emma Lawson, Haines City, FL, Claudia Treadwell and Elaine Shepherd of Tallahas- see, FL, Stephanie Simpson and Pat Berte, of Tampa; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, March 31st, from 5 to 8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MR. JOHN GAULDIN, JR. ‘BIG JOHN’
A homegoing celebration for Mr. John Gauldin, Jr., affection- ately known as “Big John” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, will be held Saturday, April 1st, 2 p. m. at International Harvest Church of God, 5512 N. 47th Street, Bishop Francis Maxwell, pastor, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
John was born February 3, 1943 in Tampa. Early in life, John married, Daisy Mae Gauldin of Griffin, Georgia and to that union 5 children were raised. He attended Interna- tional Harvest Church of God and loved to ride motorcycles, farming, eating fish, and volun- teering. John was a dedicated employee with Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery since 1978, and was called the “The Gate Keeper” by his son, Jeff.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Bishop John Gauldin, Sr. (Breather) and Eddie Mae Johnson; son, Al- fonzo Stewart and; niece, Car- lene A. Williams.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories with: his former companion, Cledie M. Johnson, St. Petersburg, FL.; his children, John E. Stewart (Margette), Chattanooga, TN, Harry B. Gauldin, Sr., Chattanooga, TN, Jeffrey A. Gauldin, Sr. (Lasonja), Griffin, GA, Christopher L. Gauldin, Sr., Chattanooga, TN, Angela D. Johnson, Jacksonville, FL, Timothy T. Carter, Tampa, and Marcus A. Carter, Tampa; Demetrius, Devinci and Mar- quicz Carter, whom he raised as his children; 28 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Gauldin and Patricia O. MS. NELLINE HARDNETT
Homegoing service for Ms. Nelline Hardnett, 63, who passed away on March 24, 2017 at 3:53 a. m., will be held at Heaven Destiny As- sembly of God, 4104 East El- licott Street, Tampa, FL 33610, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 a. m. with Pastor Tom Jones, officiating. Inter- ment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Nelline was preceded in death by: father, Eddie L. Hardnett; and mother, Pauline Hardnett.
Nelline was born in Tal- ladega, AL. She was educated in the Boston School System. She worked as a Health As- sistant for Hillsborough County Public Schools for many years and was very in- volved in her church, Heaven Destiny Assembly of God. Helping others, shopping, and spending time with her family were many of the things she enjoyed.
Her beautiful life will for- ever be cherished in the lives of: her children, Antwanette Oliver Burns (George), Tampa, Taushia C. Oliver, Tampa, Calvin A. Oliver, Tampa, and Taukera M.
