Scenes From The 2019 TOBA Leadership Breakfast
The Tampa Organization of Black Affairs (TOBA) held its 39th Leadership Breakfast on January 21, 2019, 6:45 a. m., at the Hilton Hotel Downtown. Tammy Charles and Solomon Davis, Jr. were Chairpersons.
The speaker for the breakfast was Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, President, Spelman College, Atlanta, GA.
Program participants were: Jordan Tyler Bolds, Atty. Clinton Paris, Boy Scout Troops 64 and 654, Dr. Jennifer Meningall; the Honorables Kathy Castor, Darryl Rouson, Fentrice Driskell, Dianne Hart, Bob Buckhorn, Frank Reddick, Les Miller, Jr., Tamara Shamburger; Corene Collins, Bob Morrison, Valerie Cherry, Ph.D., Rodericka Riley; TOBA Members, Dr. Larry Shannon, Roland Daniels, Dr. Glenn Cherry, James Ransom, and Pastor Michael Price, Pastor, St. James AME Church, Progress Village.

    Co-Chairs for the 2019 Breakfast were Sol Davis, Jr. and Tammy Charles.
The Breakfast guest speaker was Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, Presi- dent of Spelman College, Atlanta.
One of the award recipients was Fran Tate, President of the Jackson Heights Neighborhood Association and Crime Watch.

   These guests are: in front, Gwen Myers, Rosalyn Wise, Dr. Idelia Phillips, Iris S. Thurman, and Terria Cumberbatch. On the back row, Elizabeth Key-Raimer, Rosa Martin and Bon- nie James.
Mrs. Doretha Edgecomb and daughter, Allison Edge- comb, were in attendance.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Dr. Jacenthia Buggs) Morrison and their family were in attendance. Morrison was one of the co- founders of TOBA, along with Atty. Delano Stewart and CPA David McQuay.

Also in attendance were: seated, Leon and Angilen Adkins, and Mr. and Mrs. Micheal Watkins; standing, Sharon Thomp- son and Quinton Robinson.
  Carla Williams of HART, School Board members, Mariell Smith and Pat Kemp; Lyndon Dal- las, Melanie Williams, City Councilman Mike Suarez and County Commissioner Kimberly Over- man.
These scouts who handled flag duties are: Tavaris Dotson, Clayton Fleming, Datrian Roberts, Shontavis Nazaire, Justin Ortez, Shontowin Nazaire, Joshua Phillips, Dacon Melton, Jayden Canty, Dexter Fleming, Devon Cogder, and Lenzo Canty.
