Body Of Motorcyclist Found On Side Of Interstate
Law enforcement has identified the body of a man found Thursday morning. He was located on the south- bound side of Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two highway workers picking up trash dis- covered the body at 10:55 a.m., last Thursday. They also discovered pieces of a motor- cycle in what appeared to be a traffic accident.
The man has been identi- fied as 27-year-old James Reid Butler, IV, of Lake- wood Ranch, Florida. Investi-
gators said that Butler was driving his 2002 Honda Mo- torcycle southbound on Inter- state 275 early last Sunday, November 18th.
For undetermined rea- sons, the motorcycle left the highway and entered the grass median. The motorcycle then overturned and collided with several trees. Upon impact, Butler was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. He died at the scene.
His body was located about 50 feet from the road- way within the brush and tree line, officials said.
