Mayor To Host Third New Vendor Certification Tour

Mayor Jane Castor
will host the third meeting in the recently introduced Vendor Certification Tour. The event will take place Thursday, September 26th, at All Art Studio Venue, 4725 North Hesperides Street, Tampa, 33614, from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.
During the event, City of Tampa staff members from the Purchasing Department and the Minority and Small Business Development Of-
fice will visit neighbor- hoods to certify and/or reg- ister companies with the City of Tampa.
The current contracting opportunities include new and existing construction services, professional engi- neering, architectural serv- ices, and goods and services (such as lawn maintenance, janitorial services, and gen- eral supplies and materi- als).
Known as the “Bridges To Business” Vendor Certi- fication Tour, the event is designed to connect owners

with information and con-
tract activities for minority and women-owned or small businesses interested in be- coming certified with the City of Tampa.
Those in attendance will also provide assistance to individuals who would like to register as vendors with the City of Tampa.
Event attendees will have the opportunity to meet City purchasing rep- resentatives, network with prime contactors and re- ceive one-on-one vendor certification assistance.
The goal of the “Bridges
To Business” Vendor Certi- fication Tour is to meet en- trepreneurs in the communities, where they serve in an effort to connect them with basic informa- tion that has the potential to lead to government con- tract work.
The Bridges To Business Vendor Certification Tour is free and open to business owners or their representa- tives. Space for the event is limited and registration is required for attendance. At- tendees can register at: tampagov.net/BTBTour.
