SWEEP Clean Up Planned For West Tampa
The City of Tampa Solid Waste Department, in coor- dination with the West Tampa CRA, will conduct a solid waste S.W.E.E.P. within the boundary of the West Tampa CRA on Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th. There will be a follow up S.W.E.E.P. on Fri- day, June 22nd and Satur- day, June 23rd.
Residents are encouraged to place items curbside on the right of way in front of their homes. Household items in- cluding furniture, household appliances, mattresses, bar- becue grills, toilets, carpet, tires without rims (up to 4 tires total), and yard waste (cut down to 4 feet) will be collected during the S.W.E.E.P.
The West Tampa CRA re- development area includes all public and private prop- erty located within its bound-
aries: North – West Columbus Drive; South – South Kennedy Blvd.; West – N. Armenia Ave.; and East – Hillsborough River.
In addition to the sweep, the West Tampa CRA com- munity will hold a meeting on the morning of June 23rd to conduct a community cleanup within the N. Hyde Park, West Riverfront, and Old West Tampa neighbor- hoods.
The hours of the cleanup are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by lunch and re- freshments at 1803 N. Howard Ave., Tampa, FL 33607.
