Buccaneers Sign Antonio Brown
Daniel Kaluuya Wins Best Supporting Actor
Antonio Brown is back in the fold.
The Buccaneers and Brown agreed to a new contract early this morning. Brown’s agent told NFL Network that it’s a one-year deal with $3.1 million guaranteed and the opportu- nity to make up to $6.25 mil- lion.
Tampa Bay has now brought back every single significant

contributor from its 2020 Super Bowl-winning roster.
Although Brown wasn’t the All-Pro receiver in Tampa Bay that he had been in his prime years in Pittsburgh, he was still a solid contributor and a player Tom Brady very much wanted back, and down the stretch Brown scored six touchdowns in his last six games.
The Academy Awards looked different this year: The red car- pet was hemmed, and the after- parties were cut.
It was an unusual setup in an unusual year, where many of the films were released while movie theaters were largely closed be- cause of the coronavirus pan- demic.
Nevertheless, this ceremony made some history. Chloé Zhao won the best director for “Nomadland,” becoming the first woman of color to win the award, and the second woman ever to win. (Kathryn Bigelow was the first, for “The Hurt Locker.”) Yuh-Jung Youn be- came the first Korean actress to win an acting Oscar, for her sup- porting role in “Minari.”
Daniel Kaluuya won the best supporting actor award for his portrayal of Fred Hampton in “Judas and the Black Mes- siah.” Frances McDormand (“Nomadland”) won a third best-actress Oscar, and An- thony Hopkins (“The Father”) won for best actor over the late Chadwick Boseman, who had been heavily favored.“Nomad- land” won best picture.

Kanye West turned out to be quite present throughout DMX's tributes this last week- end -- and he'll continue to be ... because he's got a seven-fig- ure gift for the man's family.
Sources close to Kanye stated the custom DMX T- shirt designed by Balenciaga -- which was commissioned by the Yeezy brand and put up for sale Saturday as X's me-

morial got underway -- ended up cranking out huge profits quickly ... upwards of a million bucks.
Balenciaga had already said they'd be giving the net profits back to the family, but the fact those sales produced a million dollars is staggering. Then again, the shirt was retailing for $200. The DMX tribute shirt sold out in 24 hours.
Beyoncé Awards Alabama Woman $20K Jewelry Industry Scholarship
Beyoncé wants to see more diversity in the jewelry indus- try so she and Lorraine Schwartz teamed up to award three scholarships for a young Black student to study at the Gemology Institute of America (GIA) with tuition and ex- penses paid in full, for a total of more than $20,000 each.
The intense application process came to an end on April 19 when the winners were notified that they were se- lected for the scholarship dur- ing a Zoom call. Oprah Daily participated in the process by watching it all unfold virtually.
Beyoncé and Jay Z are so excited about the scholarship that they decided to personally fund a third scholarship for 35- year-old Kulla Jatani, a refugee from Nairobi who relo- cated to Seattle, Washington

with her family when she was 6 years old. At the age of 12, she started making her own jewelry as a hobby.
“I was impressed with their passion and the knowledge of gems that so many applicants displayed,” Beyoncé said of all three winners in a state-
ment. “I am praying that this is just the beginning of opening more doors to diversity and raw inspiration in the jewelry industry.”
Audriana Osborne, a 24- year-old from Montgomery, Alabama, is excited to receive her 3rd degree at GIA – she currently has a Bachelor’s from FAMU, and a law degree from Howard University.
“Growing up in Mont- gomery, I saw lots of Black pro- fessionals in different creative industries. I would love to con- tribute to be a part of that rep- resentation. I feel so blessed and honored to have this re- sponsibility...to carry on the torch, so that maybe other Black people will be looking at this scholarship and think ‘Hey, maybe I can do that!’” she exclaimed.
