Driver Hits 7 People At School Bus Stop
E. Bougainvillea and N. 15th Street
Riverview Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Injured
      Police are currently inves- tigating an accident that left seven people with serious in- juries. The accident took place at the intersection of E. Bougainvillea and N. 15th Street early Thursday.
According to a spokesper- son from the Tampa Police Department, detectives were in the early stages of the in- vestigation and none of the names of those involved in the accident had been re- leased. However, the driver is being detained, but had not been charged at press time.
The spokesman said the accident took place shortly after 8 a.m. The two adults and five children were waiting
at the school bus stop. The students were waiting on the bus to Woodson Pre-K through 8th grade.
The spokesperson said witnesses told police a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Bougainvillea at a high rate of speed, before hitting the pedestrians who were on the south side of the street.
Police said the driver struck two adults and five children. All seven were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. One of the children was listed in crit- ical condition.
The investigation contin- ues. No additional informa- tion at press time.

Last Friday night, police responded to reports of shots being fired in a Riverview community. When deputies arrived, they discovered three

people had been injured by gunfire.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, when deputies arrived they met with two men who said someone shot at them while they were driving on Symmes Road. They were identified as Neldrec Dixon, 18, and 21- year-old Jimmy Dun- woody. Dunwoody was not injured, police said.

lage Mobile Home Park, in reference to a person injured by gunfire. The deputies dis- covered 20-year-old Juan C. Becerra inside the resi- dence. He was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, where he later died of his in- juries, police said.
They also located Erik Miller, who was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Detectives said the victims were not cooperating, but the investigation is continuing.
