MS. DEBRA ELAINE ‘MS. DEW’ WILLIAMS
Ms. Debra Elaine Williams, affectionately known as ‘Ms. DEW,’ passed away on October 22, 2018. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday Novem- ber3,2018at11a.m.atGrace Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 3901 N. 37th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Elder James Reed, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Ms. Williams was pre- ceded in death by: her father and mother, Willie P. Williams and Gwendolyn Williams; brother, Frank Williams; nephew, Donald Williams; grandparents, Ed- ward Martin and Erma Lee Martin.
She leaves to cherish fond memories of her with: 2 sons, Adrian D. Jenkins and Jovan M. Mitchell; 1 daughter, Kel- isha K. Mitchell; 4 sisters, Gail Williams Walker and her hus- band, Willie Walker; Velda Williams (Edward), Linda Williams and Carolyn Williams; 1 brother, Robert Coleman; 9 grandchildren, Adrian D. Jenkins, Jr., Aaron Jenkins, Aniyah Jenkins, An- thony Jenkins, Kenise A. Brown, Kendall A. Brown, Jordan Mitchell, Janaria Mitchell and 1 unborn grand- child; uncle, Herman Martain; aunt, Edna Dennison; nieces and nephews, Andre Mc- Cloud, Reginald and Regina Moore, Renaldo Williams, Jaleesa Walker, Davontae Walker, Ashley Williams, Sab- rina Williams, Edward and Rico Smith, Erica Peterson, Eric Peterson, Shanta Cole- man, Robert Coleman, Chris, Jessica and Michael; devoted friend, Ben Daniels and other relatives and friends.
Ms. Debra Elaine Williams was born in Tampa, on De- cember 4, 1959 to the union of Gwendolyn Williams Wingo and Willie Pearl Williams.
Ms. Williams attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Franklin Adult High School. She was a former worker for the Lakeshore Village Retire- ment Home for many years.
There will be a viewing on Friday November 2, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, from 5 – 8 p. m.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church on Sat- urday for the service.

Detectives Seek
Middleton’s
TV Production Student Interviews Andrew Gillum
Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum was in- terviewed by Middleton High School television pro- duction student, Cody Altman. Gillum took time for the interview for TigerTVNetwork during a campaign stop Friday, October 19 at the Hilton Westshore Hotel. The event was part of a forum on Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law sponsored by the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity’s Gamma Zeta Lambda Chapter.
Mrs. Tameca Johnson is teacher of the class and Dr. Kim Moore is Principal at Middleton.
Identity Of Bank
Robbery Suspect
Detectives with the Tem- ple Terrace Police Depart- ment are searching for a Hispanic man in connection with a bank robbery. The of- fense took place shortly be- fore 1 p.m., on October 29th.
According to police, the man entered the Regions Bank, 10904 N. 56th Street, approached a teller and de- manded money. After receiv- ing the cash, he fled the scene.
He is described as being 5’6” to 5’7” with a thin build.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the identity of the

Shoots Robbery Suspect
Police are investigating a shooting where a would-be victim shot another man. Both fled the scene after the shoot- ing, but were later located.
According to police, shortly before 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, 18-year-old Jakobe Cotney was reportedly walk- ing E. on Sligh Avenue from a nearby Family Dollar Store. Cotney told police a man started following him. The man jumped off the bicycle he was riding, and ran toward Cotney. He is alleged to have reached in his waist band while grabbing Cotney from behind and pointed a gun at Cotney.
Cotney told police he was in fear of his life and also had a gun. Cotney pulled his gun and shot the suspect. Then both men fled the scene.
Police responded to the scene of a shooting and dis- covered Cornelius T.
JAKOBE COTNEY
Knight, 19, had been shot. Knight was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Officers familiar with the area and its residents located Cotney and his account of the incident matched evidence found at the scene.
Knight is facing one count of robbery with a firearm. The investigation is continuing, police said.
