FSU QB Deondre Francois Out For The Season
Florida State quarter- back, Deondre Francois is out for the season.
Florida State's quarterback Deondre Francois is out for the season with a patella tendon injury, according to reports.
Francois had surgery on his knee on Tuesday.
Francois, a redshirt soph- omore, had his leg rolled up on while he was being sacked during the fourth quarter of Florida State's 24-7 loss to Al- abama on Saturday in At- lanta.
Francois stayed on the ground clutching his left knee and had to be helped off the field. He was put into an air cast on the Florida State side- line and carted off the field.
Alabama safety Ronnie Harrison, who sacked Francois on the play, al- ready took to Twitter to wish Francois a speedy recovery.
Coach Jimbo Fisher has not yet confirmed the severity of Francois' injury. How- ever, Fisher did say after the Alabama game that James Blackman will start against Louisiana-Monroe next Sat- urday. Blackman is a true freshman from Glades Cen- tral High School in Belle Glade, Florida. He was a three-star member of the Semionles' recruiting class.
Dolphins-Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Bernard Reedy won’t be returning to his side job anytime soon. The former undrafted free agent, who spends his offsea- son making $11 an hour working as a wheelchair transporter, was informed Saturday that he made the Bucs’ 53-man roster.
Reedy told reporters, “Words can’t explain it. I’ve fought and fought year after year. To clinch a spot is price- less to me. Now it’s time to continue to progress and help the team in any way I can.”
As a member of the active roster, he’ll make a base salary of $465,000 this year, or a little over $27,300 per week.
Won't Be Played In Miami
BERNARD REEDY Reedy made the Bucs’
only touchdown catch of the preseason Thursday night -- a 10-yard pass from Sefo Liu- fau in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. He had been in a heated competition for the Bucs’ final receiver spot behind Mike Evans, De- Sean Jackson, Adam Humphries and Chris Godwin.
The Miami Dolphins will not play their regular-season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Hard Rock Sta- dium on Sunday due to the threat of Hurricane Irma, the NFL announced Tuesday.
A source reports the game likely will be rescheduled for Nov. 19, when both teams have a bye week, according to league sources. The NFL has yet to announce an official de- cision.
"The league will continue to examine other options, in- cluding playing the game this Sunday at a neutral site or in Miami later this season, and will provide an update on that decision as soon as possible," the league said in a statement.
The Dolphins practiced Tuesday with the expectation that a game will be played this week. Several Miami players were vocal about wanting to play, regardless of the circum-

stances.
Hard Rock Stadium had
approximately $500 million in renovations over the past two years. A big part of those renovations were to reinforce the stadium to withstand a Category 4 hurricane. Irma was upgraded Tuesday to a Category 5 hurricane.
Rescheduling the game in November would result in the Dolphins and Buccaneers playing 16 straight games, which is not ideal for either team.

Trade To Cavaliers 'Still Hurts'
Isaiah Thomas' two sons had different reactions to his trade from the Celtics to the Cavaliers.
His older son, James, is excited that his dad will get to play alongside LeBron James. Thomas' younger son, Jaiden, had fallen in love with Boston and was afraid that Cleveland won't have any skate parks.
"Everything about that trade, everything that I was feeling in my heart in those moments -- they got it down to the only two things that mattered," Thomas said in a 3,500-word post on The Players Tribune about the deal that sent him to the

"And so when I say this hurts, man -- just know that it isn't because of anything anyone else did. It's only be- cause of something I did," he said. "I fell in love with Boston."
