Michael Bennett Alleges Excessive Police Force After Mayweather- McGregor Fight

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett has al- leged he was the victim of ex- cessive force by police in Las Vegas.
In a post on his official Twitter account, Bennett wrote the incident took place after he attended the Floyd Mayweather Jr.- Conor McGregor fight on Aug. 26.
Bennett concluded his post by noting he has hired legal representation "to inves- tigate and explore all of my legal options including filing a civil lawsuit for the violation of my constitutional rights."

Los Angeles Lakers presi- dent of basketball operations Magic Johnson said Mon- day he told team owner Jeanie Buss she could take the $500,000 fine for tamper- ing with former Indiana Pac- ers forward Paul George out of his salary.
Johnson called the situa- tion a "mistake" and said he'll "make sure it doesn't happen anymore."
"We can't say a lot but we will correct the situation," he said. "It's under my watch. I apologized to Jeanie, and that was the main thing. I told her she could take it out of my salary because I don't want the Lakers to be paying that fine. ... I don't want her spending $500,000, because she didn't do anything. That's on me."

James Harden Pledges $1 Million For Harvey Relief
Rockets point guard James Harden says he will donate $1 million to the city of Houston to aid in Hurri- cane Harvey recovery.
Harden made the an- nouncement Saturday with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. They spoke at a news conference at the NRG Center, which has housed evacuees since Harvey swamped the Houston area more than a week ago.
Harden went to high school in California and col- lege in Arizona, but said Houston is his home.
