Cardi B Gets First Gold For ‘Bodak Yellow’
Cardi B and Russ are two artists who’ve taken their stardom to new heights in 2017, and their most recent certifications are proof.
Last month, Cardi’s ubiq- uitous single “Bodak Yellow” and Russ’ standout debut album There’s Really a Wolf were both certified gold by the Recording Industry Asso- ciation of America (RIAA).
Cardi’s “Bodak Yellow,” which recently landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, attained the gold certification on Aug. 22, while Russ’ There’s Really a Wolf offi- cially went gold last Monday (Aug. 28).
For Cardi, this certifica- tion is just another sign

Woman In Lawsuit Claims Usher Hiding His Assets
Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jack- son’s fallout with Starz con- tinues. On Sunday (September 3rd), 50 in- structed his fans to cancel their subscription to the net- work, after the finale of his hit series ‘Power’ aired.
He stated, I don’t think the STARZ network realize your watching POWER because it’s my show. So take STARZ out of your cable package after you see POWER tonight.

Ice Cube’s BIG3 Faces $250M Lawsuit
Usher still has not commented on the accusations.
Ice Cube’s BIG3 basket- ball league is reportedly fac- ing a $250 million lawsuit, according to the New York Daily News.
Fellow 3-on-3 league, The Champion Basketball League (CBL), is accusing the N.W.A legend of jacking its propri- etary ideas.
Filed by CBL founder Carl George at the Manhat- tan Supreme Court on Friday (September 1), the lawsuit al- leges Cube and BIG3’s co- founder Jeff Kwatinetz only warmed up to the CBL players to steal their ideas after CBL’s 2014 launch.

The BIG3 championship was held on August 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and featured a halftime performance from Cardi B.
A woman who has accused Usher of giving her herpes is slamming the singer for al- legedly hiding his assets in her $20 million lawsuit against him.
The Georgia woman ac- cused the Yeah! hitmaker of infecting her with the sexually transmitted disease last month. The anonymous woman, identified as Jane Doe, is now alleging Usher is fraudulently transferring all of his assets to avoid them being seized if a judgment is
granted.
The woman accuses Usher
of giving his money to others to hide it, but reportedly ad- mits she has no proof.
In legal documents ob- tained by the outlet, her lawyer suspects Usher is try- ing to move the funds because he delayed the discovery process by 90 days.
Usher has not commented on the latest accusations, but he denies the previous claims and asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit last month.

Love Jones was recently rebooted as a stage play, and now, another cult classic is heading to the stage as well.
Writer-director Je'Cary- ous Johnson is adapting the 2001 film, Two Can Play That Game, into a stage play. The film originally starred an ensemble cast featuring Vivica A. Fox, Morris Chestnut, An- thony Anderson, Tamala Jones, Bobby

The stage play kicks off a 13-city run in October. The only Florida city on the schedule is Orlando on No- vember 5th.
