The culmination of a long term investigation has led to the indictment of 39 people. The investigation was known as “Operation Blackjack,” and focused on arms and narcotics traffick- ing activities in Pasco County.
As a result, 39 individu- als have been charged with various federal firearms and drug violations.
The indictments also no- tify the defendants that the United States intends to for- feit the firearms used in these offenses and any pro- ceeds traceable to the of- fenses.
Operation Blackjack arose out of a partnership between the United States Attorney’s Office, the State Attorney’s Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Pasco Sheriff’s Of- fice. The cases will be prose- cuted by the United States Attorney’s Office’s Violent Crimes and Narcotics Sec- tion.

Man Confesses To
Being Serial Killer,
Responsible For
CHICAGO – A man con- victed of three California murders and long suspected in numerous other deaths now claims he was involved in about 90 killings nation- wide spanning nearly four decades, and investigators already have corroborated about a third of those, a Texas prosecutor said Thurs- day.
Ector County District At- torney Bobby Bland said 78-year-old Samuel Little was booked into jail this week following his indict- ment in the 1994 death of a Texas woman. Investigations are ongoing, but Little has provided details in more than 90 deaths dating to about 1970, Bland said.
Little was brought to Texas in September, and in- vestigators with law enforce- ment agencies in several states traveled to speak with him about unsolved homi- cides.
SAMUEL LITTLE
“They’re able to match up over 30 cases so far,” Bland said. “So far we don’t have any false information com- ing from him.”
If the number of killings Little claims to have com- mitted proves true, it would make him one of the most prolific killers in U.S. his- tory. Ted Bundy confessed to 30 homicides from about 1974 to 1978. John Wayne Gacy killed at least 33 boys and young men in the 1970s.
