Mayor’s Youth Corps Hosts ‘Valuing Diverse Abilities’ Education Forum

Teens, their parents and all interested individuals are invited to a FREE educa- tional forum on disability awareness and inclusion. Valuing Diverse Abilities will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020,from6p.m.to8p.m., at Barksdale Adult Activity Center, 1801 North Lincoln Avenue in Macfarlane Park.
The Mayor’s Youth Lead- ership Council, a program of
the City of Tampa that works to allow local teens the op- portunity to develop their leadership skills and apply them through various service projects and event work- shops, sponsors the session.
Speakers will share their personal and professional experiences with diverse abilities, as well as how to make our community more accepting and inclusive.
While the event is FREE
and OPEN to the public, reservations are requested by February 10, 2020 and may be made by contacting Molly Biebel, City of Tampa Youth Development Coordinator, at (813) 274- 5909 or molly.biebel@tam- pagov.net.
