Man Accused Of
Teenagers Charged With Robbing Pizza Driver

Two Lakeland teenagers have been arrested and charged with robbing a pizza delivery man. The incident took place on January 22nd.
The victim told police he was on a delivery when he was flagged down by two peo- ple on Ohio Avenue, North. He said both suspects pro- duced handguns and ordered him out of the vehicle. They demanded the pizza and any money he had. The victim complied.
The two then drove off in the victim’s car. A short time later, police located the stolen vehicle in a cul-de-sac at Chestnut Woods Road. Both suspects were inside and both ran, but later caught.
Jaquavious Harrison, 18, and Lil’ Romeo Antwon Smith, 17, were both charged with several crimes including robbery with a firearm, armed burglary of a conveyance, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and carjacking with a firearm.
Drug Sale Lands Man In Jail For 12 Years
A U. S. District Judge sen- tenced a St. Petersburg man to more than 12 years in fed- eral prison. He pleaded guilty to selling cocaine on October 28, 2019.
According to court docu- ments, an undercover officer met with 37-year-old Sha- mon D. Heatly and Heatly directed him to get into a ve- hicle. Once inside he al- legedly sold the undercover officer cocaine.
Heatly had previously been convicted on several narcotics offenses, including several counts of possession and delivery of cocaine.

U. S. District Judge Charlene Honeywell sen- tenced Heatly to serve 12 years and 7 months in federal prison earlier this week.
Man Arrested For Robbing Dollar General
A 41-year-old man is ac- cused of robbing a Dollar General Store, 1050 U. S. Highway 17, in Bartow, at gunpoint. The incident took place late Tuesday.
According to the Bartow Police Department, the man walked into the store wear- ing a dark hoodie, jeans and a mask. He produced a gun, grabbed one of the employ- ees by the hair, and forced her to give him money from the register. He then fled the scene.
Police developed leads to his identity, and on the fol- lowing day, around 4 p.m.,

police arrested Jackie Richardson, of Bartow. He was charged with armed rob- bery and aggravated battery.
Ending Quarrel With
Sword Attack
A 47-year-old man was ar- rested early Thursday and charged with striking another man with a sword.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, Kurtis Lawson was en- gaged in a verbal altercation early Thursday. At some point, Lawson is accused of striking the other man with the sword, causing injury.
The victim was trans- ported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Lawson was transported to the Hillsborough County

$100,000 Robbery
Of Jewelry Stores
A 28-year-old Tampa man has been charged with using a gun to commit an armed robbery. He was charged on a federal level.
According to the U. S. At- torney’s Office, on December 31, 2019, a man entered the Zales Jewelry Store in Hills- borough County and the Helzberg Diamonds, in Pasco County. He was armed with a handgun and robbed both es- tablishments, escaping with more than $100,000 in jew- elry. Police recovered finger- prints from the Zales robbery.
On January 27, 2020, the U. S. Attorney’s Office, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at the home and car of Michael Nelson

Snyder. During the search, police recovered a firearm and clothing that matched clothing worn during the rob- beries.
Snyder was taken into custody and charged with using a firearm in relation to the armed robberies of the jewelry stores.
