Brian Lamb Re-Elected As Chairman Of USF Board Of Trustees
 Last week, members of the University of South Florida, Board of Trustees held their regular meeting. During the meeting, Brian Lamb was unanimously re-elected to re- main in the role of Chairman. Lamb was elected Chairman in 2016.
Jordan Zimmerman
was also unanimously re- elected to continue in his role as Vice Chairman for the next two years.
Lamb said, “It’s a privi- lege to continue serving in this leadership role during such a pivotal time in USF history. I appreciate the trust and the confidence my fellow trustees have shown by se- lecting me as chair for two more years.”

Lamb is Executive Vice President and Head Of Wealth & Asset Management for Fifth Third Bancorp, re- sponsible for line-of-business oversight of wealth manage- ment, which includes private banking, investment man- agement, insurance, Fifth Third Securities, institutional services and fiduciary serv- ices.
He earned both his Bach- elor’s Degree in Accounting and his M.B.A. Degree from USF. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate Bank- ing School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Zimmerman is founder, Chairman and Architect of the Zimmerman Advertising empire, the 14th largest ad-
vertising agency in the world with published billings in ex- cess of $3 billion.
In 2015, he donated $10 million to the USF College of Arts and Sciences, which re- sulted in the naming of Zim- merman School of Advertising and Mass Com- munications.
In addition to serving as Vice Chairman, his assign- ments include Chairman of the Governance Committee and member of the Strategic Initiatives Committee.
The USF Board of Trust-ees includes 13 members. Six trustees are appointed by Florida’s governor and five trustees are appointed by the Board of Governors. The USF System Faculty Council Presi- dent and USF System Student Advisory Council President also serve as trustees.

 House Candidate Qualifies With Signature Campaign

Last Week, Ms. Dianne Hart announced that she has gathered enough signatures to be placed on the ballot in the November election. She is a candidate for the Florida House 61 Seat.
She is campaigning for the position vacated by State Rep. Sean Shaw, who has announced plans to run for the Florida Attorney Gen- eral’s Office. Current Attor- ney General Pam Bondi must vacate the seat due to term limits.
Ms. Hart is competing against fellow Democrats Sharon Carter, Attorney Norman Harris, Byron Keith Henry, Attorney Karen Skyers, and write in candidate Valion Joyce.
“I want to thank all mem- bers of the community who gave me their support. I couldn’t have done it without them or the team of volun- teers who have contributed greatly.
“I look forward to serving in the Florida House and working to improve such con- cerns as health, housing, and career opportunities. But, my passion is education. Ms. Hart, known by
many as Ms. Dee, is a life- long East Tampa resident, community activist and small business owner.
In addition to her position as the CEO of the East Tampa Business and Civic Associa- tion, Ms. Hart has owned and operated Ms. Dee's World of Beauty, for over 30 years. She is a Board member of Hillsborough County Chil- dren’s Advisory Board, the NFL YET Center, and mem- ber of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Task Force.
Ms. Hart earned a Bach- elor’s Degree in Human Serv- ices from Springfield College and attends New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She is the mother of three children and she built a small business in the same commu- nity she now wants to serve in Tallahassee.
