Community Baby Shower Saturday For Moms-To-Be
Caregiver’s Helping Hand Inc. provides baby shower for expectant moth- ers on public assistance
From10a.m.to2p.m. on Saturday, April 28, the nonprofit organization Care- giver’s Helping Hand, Inc. is spoiling expectant mothers during its Spring Commu- nity Baby Shower.
Sponsored by Molina Health Care and Sunshine Health, from fun activities, gifts, massages by Bless These Hands, and training classes for new parents, ex- pectant moms will receive a day of pampering at this community baby shower.
Westtown Church and Caregivers Helping Hands have partnered to bring a Spring Baby Shower to sur- rounding communities. “To- gether, we are hoping to bring support to new parents in our surrounding commu- nity,” said Farmarres Williams, marketing volun-

teer at Westtown Church. “The shower will include re- sources to different agencies that support parents and items new parents may need.”
Caregiver’s Helping Hand, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer organization. Founder Richedean Hills- Ackbar and other volun- teers provide free services to low income children and teens, women, and seniors.

ough County,” said Hills- Ackbar. “Our Mission is to always give a helping hand wherever we can in our com- munity.”
Hills-Ackbar was a sin- gle mother herself and was given two baby showers by people wanting to help her. She chose to pay it forward by creating this special day of pampering.
Hills-Ackbar said that she is expecting at least 250 new mothers and 50 new fa- thers in attendance. Grand-
parents-to-be are also on the guest list.

Items needed include newborn diapers, baby bags, pacifiers, socks, blankets, hats, t-shirts, headbands, rattles, bottles, teething toys, strollers, mobiles, baby wipes, lotion, shampoo, pow- der, crib sheets, baby swings,

baby monitors, and bottle warmers, etc.
Hills-Ackbar said, “We are trying to show a little kindness to moms-to-be in their time of need by giving them a good start to parent- ing their newborns.”
The Spring Community Baby Shower is Saturday, April28at10a.m.-2p.m.at Westtown Church, 13521 Race Track Road, Tampa.
