gets joy out of making sure high school students have an enjoyable experience while learning.
In the past, selecting roy- alty at Middleton High School was done by the stu- dents who voted on their fa- vorite choice during Homecoming activities.
But Mrs. Johnson, who is in Television Production in the Department of Career and Technical Education at Middleton, wants to expand on that concept. She has planned a full-scale “Mr. and Miss Middleton Pageant.”
The “Mr. and Miss Mid- dleton Pageant and Competi- tion” takes place on Thursday, April 18, 2019, 6 p. m. in the Henry "Shake" Washington Auditorium, on Middleton's campus. Tickets are $5.

Starting pageants is not new for Mrs. Johnson. She did something similar while on the staff at Howard W. Blake High School. She en- couraged the students to get interested in the pageant, held the competition at the school and invited former
